  1. Healthy Winter Nesting

    So apparently we are on track for the driest May to date - warm sunny days but chilly nights and mornings! Most people turn to easy comfort food as Winter approaches but there are healthy yummy ways around that!

    With my second child due next month, I am busy preparing my freezer for the times I am too tired to cook! Here are my little tips:

    1. When cooking healthy soups, stews & casserole's, make enough to freeze a few meals.

    Firstly my apologies for my lack of blog! I am now coming into week 33 of my pregnancy and my 15 month old little adorable toddler girl is becoming somewhat a handful!
    I can't help but think, come next month- how will I cope?!
    It is abut now that I am thinking about my birth preparation. Here is a small list of my natural essentials:

  4. Iron in pregnancy

    Not so long ago I was dredging my glucose tolerance test. Well I had the pleasure of taking it last week. Thankfully I passed with flying colours and the drink wasn't as bad as I remembered!

    But my iron levels this time around had dropped. Not dramatically but enough to take some action. As my OB recommended 'eat more red meat'. Not so good for a girl who doesn't eat it and hasn't for 16 years! I am careful to watch my diet so that I have as many plant sources of iron as possible. ...

  5. Regularity in Pregnancy

    The kind of regularity I am talking about here is going to the toilet and not just a quick wee!
    I am pretty sure in this pregnancy my bowel habits are not as fabulous as I'd like them to be or as good as my previous pregnancy.
