    The top 7 wraps and swaddling cloths

    If you're like me, you watched in awe as hospital midwives expertly wrapped your baby in a little blanket then tucked them up for what looked like the most comfortable sleep ever.

    Then, if you're like me, you brought your baby home and gave it a try yourself. But it's not so easy at 1.30am when you've only had one hour of unbroken sleep in three days!

    So the next step is obviously to go buy a wrap/swaddle that has a zip or velcro to make the whole thing far less     ...

    Breastfeeding halves risk of SIDS

    SIDS and Kids has revised their safe sleeping guidelines to include a new recommendation - 'breastfeed baby if you can'.

    The new recommendation is based on research that shows breastfeeding more than halves the risk of sudden and unexpected infant death.

    Review* author and safe sleeping expert Adjunct Professor Jeanine Young says studies conducted over the past 15 years have consistently found that breastfeeding reduces the risk of SIDS.

    Have you ever fed your baby like a bird? Once I gave The Toddler some sunflower seeds but that isn't what we're talking about here.

    I've been watching a video of Clueless star Alicia Silverstone chewing up some food and then letting her baby eat it from her mouth. Uh huh.
