Is it true that we wont be able to get rid of jelly belly (the one that hangs on top of the scar) if we have a c/s, no matter what excersice we would have done? Well,i do still have the jelly belly, but i thought that simply because i havent really done any excersice and eat a bit too much :o . From all the celebrity pictures that i saw, many of them seem to have their flat tummy back..Anyone know? Because i dont want to think that i'll have to have a tummy tuck just to get my flat tummy back..haha
You be the judge, these are my post c/s pics:
3 weeks post op (http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d41/aljts/Thomas/Csection/3weeksafter.jpg)
4 months post op (http://s32.photobucket.com/albums/d41/aljts/Thomas/Csection/4monthsafter.jpg)
Now the scar is barely visable, you have to look really closely to see it, my stretchies are worse! :D
I need a tummy tuck. Nothing will shed the extra skin I picked up with the boys... even the docs said so.
So I'm treating myself to a tummy tuck once I've finished our family

Jatz you dont have a jelly belly there. so the story i heard is not true. My stretch marks are so much worse than yours. i dont think anyone can top my stretch marks.. I had none first and was proud of myself, suddenly when i hit 20 weeks period, they're everywhere..But with this baby, it hasnt get any worse yet, so im hoping..but i have putting on cream like 5 times a day..But i too will get a tummy tuck when we finish have babies ( im already in process of asking hubby to let me)..Well i cant wait until i have this little cherub so i can see if i can get rid of my jelly belly..btw, jatz your scar seem to heal a lot better than mine, mine doesnt look like that. mine's dark in colour and kind of lumpy..

My jelly belly has gone, only 3mths later.. no sit ups or anything. I guess everyone is different and depends on your size when your pregnant.
I too had stretchy's worse than the jelly belly, they are still there but getting better slooooowly. I wasn't huge during pregnancy either.. go figure LOL.

Honey, the Mummy Tummy can (and probably will for at least a few weeks) happen regardless of which exit your baby takes :) The skin around your middle is stretched by pregnancy, not birth!
Don't judge your pregnancy and body shape by those stupid, unrealistic, air brushed images. Gimme 5 minutes with photoshop and I can make anyone look like that ;)
C/S or VB, you'll be able to get back into gentle exercise sooner than you think and work your way up from there.

well at least my belly now is looking like a pregnant belly, but ive been keeping more fit with this pregnancy, i walk a lot and running around an 11 month old baby, lol..I simply put my jelly belly's staying longer because i'd been lazy..haha
my jelly belly is nearly five years old. from vaginal birth...and even if I did lose the jelly, it will stay the really saggy skin belly.

I have had 2 c/sections and still have the jelly belly hanging bit after 2 years. I can never see it going away and I have lost about 15kg recently and it still has the hanging skin/apron looking thing!!!
MMmmm, with my first my tummy went straight away (possibly had something to do with the fact that i was 6 years younger...) this one, it ain't moving - it's just stretched skin - i've just lost 7 kgs and it is the only part of me that hasn't shrunk . So tummy tuck for me, or high waisted pants forever

I ws the same, 6 weeks after no.1 I was back in prepregnancy jeans, 2 weeks later I was pregnant again, and will never fit into those pants again, lol.
No.2 was a c/s and it is mach harder to get the shape back, from them cutting through and pulling open the supporting muscles underneath I believe...so you lose the weight, but the shape is way harder to getback, IFKWIM.
The 3 kids in 3 years post ceaear hasn't helped any either I 'spose.

I think a lot of it would depend on your body shape before, and just HOW MUCH you stretched.
Mine hangs too.
My mothers hangs as well...21 years on. She's tried EVERYTHING (apart from surgery!) and it just won't budge!
My mother went back to her pre-preg belly after having me, and again after having my brothers (twins), pregnant with my brothers her belly was (as expected) HUGE!
It's not the size of the belly, or the size or shape of your pre baby at all, it is the elasticity of your skin. Some skin types are more elastic than others but the biggest factor is a good diet. If your diet isn't up the scratch you'll get the overhang.
