Hello... should I give the dude his solids before or after he BFs?

I have been giving them before, one book says before, one says after

The basic guideline is to offer solids after milk, until they are eating about 1/2 cup of solids per sitting. Then you can start to offer it before milk.

The milk is the most important thing, so fill them up on that first, until they start to eat more 'meals', IYKWIM.

After Boobie, especially if he is less than six months old. You'll get conflicting advice everywhere you turn  it's one of those things! When he is older 9-10 months and on, you can offer him a meal of solid food first and he'll probably still have room for booby :)

Yes, after milk as milk is more important at this age than solids. When he gets older (at least 6months) then you can offer it before.

Thanks a lot guys, I was doing it the wrong way round and he was getting cranky 'cause he was hungry.

Now he is happily sucking away and then munching down his solids...

I feel so proud of him!:D
