View Full Version : How long till your AF returned??

AF was a no show until I started weaning O at 10mths then it came back lighter and fewer days plus no period pain :thumbsup:

Im hoping af will again stay away until ive weaned dd which will probably be sometime in the year 210 hahahahaha:yes:

DS1 was weaned at 6.5 months - AF made her return when he was 8 months old.

DS2 was weaned at 9 months - AF made her return when he was 11 months old.

DS3 - I am still breastfeeding and AF hasn't made any return yet....Will be interesting to see when it does happen though - we want number 4!!

Mine came back one month before she was 1, she's now 14 months I had 3 AF and now she has gone again :(

Can't remember with my first 3, but with Troy, I breastfed him 3 times in 24hrs before putting him on the bottle, and AF didn't show up until he was 10wks exactly.

I got mine back when DS was 14 months. I've only had 3 cycles and have now found out I'm pg again. Happy to have another year or two without AF!!

DS was fully BF and AF showed her ugley face when he was 8 weeks old.

DD was 1/2 breastfed and 1/2 formula and it came back when she was 3 months old.

DS fully breastfed and back as per normal when he was 2 months old. :eek:

DD1- Af returned back straight away & it was very painful and alot of bleeding.

DD2- Exactly the same :thumbsdown:

Not fair is it???? I thought it was another bonus of breastfeeding - but someone forgot to tell my body! lol

With DS, it was not until I stopeed breastfeeing at 12 1/2 months and with DD I stopped breastfeeding and didn't get AF until at least 6 weeks later.:smiliedance:

Ten months so far and no sign of AF or any ovulation type pains or anything.

Its great.

I just read a book about it and apparently its the night feeds that keep AF away more than anything.

No more complaining about that then, LOL

not fair... fully bf, still 2-3 night feeds, stil cluster feeding between 5.30-7pm and mine returned at 2 months, complete with pimples!!!

Came back at about 2 months after Hayley was born and hasn't come back yet with Skye though its still early.

I don't remember exactly but i believe it was around the 5-6 month mark
