Hi All,

I have a Nuk electric breast pump and seem to very unlucky... The first one didn't have suction, the second one broke and the third one doesn't have as good a suction as the second. Now I'm waiting for the fourth to see how that goes. Has anyone else had similar problems with the Nuk electric breast pump???

I've heard of people having problems with them - one person had gone through 3 and was looking for an alternative.

I'm very happy with my Avent Isis pump.

(It's been a while since I had dealings with the ole breast pump - or "milking machine" as my dairy-farm-raised hubby called them  )

Is the nuk one the red one, with the button you push and then release? It's battery operated? If I'm thinking of the right one, then yeah I had one of those, and I found it worked quite well and I had no problems with it (like I say though, this was over 4 years ago, so perhaps they have changed since then). Also, my DH found the nuk one to be quite amusing so that kinda made me relax while I was pumping :p

The best one I used though, was the Medela one from the hospital, particularly the double-one so it took half as long to get twice as much IYKWIM.

Hi,
I've got the Medela Mini Electric breast pump and can highly recommend it - it is easy to use and I have had no problems at all with it. Good luck with your 4th Nuk one but if that doesn't work look at the Medela one -it is great.
