Last night I noticed a big lump underneath my c/sect scar. Today I realised that its lumpy the whole way across the scar, but in one particular place there is a lump thats quite a bit larger than the rest.
It is a little bit tender, not smelly or anything though.
Any ideas? Could it just be scar tissue? Or a trip to the GP? :detective:

Could be an infection forming but its a little late for that, maybe just scar tissue. Head to the GP just to make sure!! Good luck

I'd head to the GP for peace of mind.
That happened to me too after csec in Feb. I queried mine over the telephone with the GP and was told it was only scar tissue as it wasn't red or showing any signs of infection. I would think this is definitely what it is  Nothing to worry about - it will eventually go down.
With DS, I did get an infection along the scar line & I tell you, I REALLY KNEW ABOUT IT!!! It was all red, itchy, swollen, smelly & I had a high temp, etc.
I don't think it's anything to be concerned about, but it's always good to get things checked out for your own piece of mind
i also had same thing with my c-section scar. very lumpy. but then it just went away and now the scar is very flat and can hardly be seen.
This happened to me it was really lumpy and then I had a little hole appear so I freaked and went to the Dr and she said the lumps were normal but the hole was not.
The lumps go away after a few weeks.

Mine was lumpy and my OB commented on it at my 6 week check up - he said it was lumpy cause there was fatty tissue underneath it. :( It's now 6 months since and no lumps now - all fine.

Thanks for the advice ladies. I think I will make an appointment with my GP for Monday. I really dont think its anything to stress about - but like MrsP said - peace of mind is worth its weight in gold.
Cheers!
Good idea Ally.....hope it's all okay.:hugs:

Well I went to the dr today and she confirmed what I thought - its just scar tissue. Still it was good to get that confirmation

the same thing happened to me well sort off...the day i was leaving from the hospital there was this bubble on my c section scar and it was red and painfull it hurt and it was only on 1 side the left side of the scar, the doctor said it was fine it was normal so i went home that day at 5 and a few hrs later i was going in to the shower and undressed and noticed blood pouring out everywhere and the pad that i had placed there earlier that day was covered in blood i looked at my scar and the buble had burst open and it looked like there was a whole in my stomache so my b.f rushed me to hospital where they gave me medacine and examined it etc it was fine they said..it happened because as soon i was home i was lifting heavy washing baskets etc...to this day i still have a little lump on it its indented..i dont know if this will ever smooth out...has anyone had somthing siimular happen to them..horrable experience:)
I have that same hard scar tissue lump, 6 months later its still there, they did say it would go but its no smaller than 6 months ago :(
