:hugs: sorry to hear DS has suddenly decided to wake screaming every night. I really don't have any suggestions though presh, sorry! Does a feed settle him? Do you hum/sing to him? Rock him etc? What have you tried to date?

firstly .. children LOVE to change the rules .. once YOU get into a routine .. they love to change theirs  tis their way of keeping us on our toes ..

My first thought is that he is hungry .. I started my DS on solids at this age - purely because he is a BIG boy .. and stopped sleeping through .. the introduction of farex .. boom .. he slept though again .. IM NOT RECOMMENDING YOU DO THAT .. its not the stated age for solids to start .. but .. you could chat to your GP or CHN about it as an option??? (is your boy bigger??? )

the only other thing that springs to my mind is to ask how is day sleeps are going??? a lack of routine and sleeps DURING the day - can really affect night sleep too .. if a baby is OVERTIRED .. they will often be unsettled through the night?? it definately doesn't work that if a baby is awake all day .. it will sleep all night ...

a friend of mine had TERRIBLE trouble with her son's night sleeping - so a specialist helped her - sorted out the days sleeps .. and voila .. the night sleep was sorted ..

I really hope that kinda helps???
dont stress .. seriously .. it gets so much better when bubs starts to communicate more.. and can tell you what is going on ... :) its all going to settle (eventually)

:hugs:

Some good points from Jen there, particularly the day sleep issue. I found i didn't really have a routine with Ashton at that age as he didn't want to day nap by a 'routine', so i ended up puttin ghius portacot in th elounge and still laying him in it where he could see me, so he settled to sleep eventually for day naps this way. And i always put him down there at the same time. Good luck, i hope we have been helpful, pm me anytime! :hugs:
