Depends on the person. For me it took 5 weeks to concieve #1 and for #2 it took 7 mths.

A friend of mine did IVF for a long time to conceive #1 and then "accidentally" conceived naturally when bubs was only 2 months old.

I personally can't help you with that info but my sister in law and brother have been TTC for #2 for a year or more now. That had no trouble with #1. They are currently undergoing IVF. Don't be scared off by that! My best friend took literally a month to conceive #2:D

All that being said I think it simply depends on your own situation. My brother and his wife have a lot of stress in there life, I'm sure it's not helping them. Apart from the stress of having a 3yo, they are building a house (literally themselves). Starting a business and keeping down full time jobs. Not too mention the stress of having trouble TTC.

My advice would be relax, get healthy and as much as you can reduce the stress in your life. Things will just happen in their own time:)

We are currently trying for number two - the fact that there is now significantly less time and energy for baby making is not helping!!! lol!

We took 5yrs (almost 6) to conceive #1 - fell naturally after two failed IVF attempt's.
Then #2 was conceived when DS1 was 6mths old and I was breastfeeding!
I had endometriosis, for which they say pregnancy is the cure - you bet it is! :)

I agree with the other posts...It really does differ from person to person...DS #1 took 8 mths to conceive and we are TTC #2 for 15 mths already and about to embark on ivf...
Good luck
