Hello all,
I am hoping someone in here might know something about this - I have concieved two babies naturally, the first was my son who is now 5, and last year fell pregnant after having the implanon removed but before AF arrived. Unfortunately I had a mc at 8 weeks - since the D&C in December last year have not had AF. After speaking to my specialist (and recieving a PCOS diagnosis) he asked me to keep a diary - it seems I get O signs every 3 weeks but no AF?? So my question is does anyone know if you can ovulate regularly but not have AF? I will ask my specialist on Monday but thought someone here may know something... thanks.

Im no specialist but to my knowledge you cannot O without having AF (unless you are pregnant). It is possible to get O signs and not O (your hormones may be almost getting there but not at high enough levels to actually release the egg), you would need to get your Progesterone blood levels checked after the suspected O to know for sure.

Have you been temping? It was clear with me I was not Oing as my temps were all over the place until I went on fertility drugs because I dont O on my own.
Check out www.fertilityfriend.com if you would like to know more about temping.

Thanks Nicole E. It makes sense that the body is trying to O, but not releasing the egg. I'm sure my DH doesn't mind as he gets extra BD'ing! :D I have maybe baby that I only just bought last week, I have been using that but only for one week. Nothing yet. I haven't been temping, but I imagine my specialist will get me to do that after my appt on Monday - I think he may be putting me on Metformin. Hopefully things will start happening without having to go on clomid, as I have concieved naturally twice already? Who knows...

OK so I went to the specialist and the answer is NO you can't O then not have a period (unless of course you are pg!). Thanks for your reply Nicole.
