changing rooms

At the moment dd (4 months) sleeps in her cot in our room, we are buying a house in the next few weeks and she will have her own room, dp wants her to sleep in her own room now (I'm not too sure about it) but I guess she has to go in sometime! So I figure putting her in her own room when we move house will be best. Just wondering if anyone has any tips and advice about making this as smooth as possible.....TIA

Hi, When we moved DD into her own room at 4months old she was ok about it. Maybe if you can make it so she can see things that she is used to for a little while. Moving house may upset her a little bit, as i had this problem with DD. But she should settle in ok. Maybe if you dont change the sheets when you move in, so then she can still smell something that she is used to.

We did it when DD was about 5 months old. It was teh easiest move... I just put her in her room and it was fine. In fact, I think she slept better not having us in the same room.

So no tips... just try it... it might just go smoothly on its own!
