I'm not getting over how different Hugh Laurie sounds.
I mean, I KNOW him from Brit Comedy and such.. but god, you forget! He does the American voice so well!

IKWYM about Hugh Laurie - his American accent was the reason why I couldn't watch House, I couldn't get past it. Now I'm regretting it, everyone says how great the show is. I only know him from British TV, he's one of my faves.

I watched about 2 hours of the GG on channel 10, then I got bored. I was watching red carpet things on Austar during the day, off and on.

Some of the dresses were lovely. Charlize Theron looked gorgeous. Gwyneth looked gorgeous (as usual). Mariah Carey looked hideous (as usual). Johnny Depp's wife Vanessa Paradis could barely string two words together. And what's with Drew Barrymore? Does that girl EVER wear a bra? And boy oh boy did she need one tonight, they were practically hanging down to her belly button! :eek:

It was a bit of attention seeking I think, it was so obvious.

I like Drew Barrymore though, but she does live in her own little world.

Love seeing what the star's are wearing and how they act in a real-life situation.
I agree Charlize was the best dressed, followed closely by Gwyneth. You couldn't miss Drew or Mariah's boobs :eek:

I love watching the faces of the nominee's who didn't win, some of them are trying soooooooo hard to smile and act as though they are not disappointed.

So glad Reese Witherspoon won, she is such a great actress and so down-to-earth, but her speech wasn't the best.

Does everyone get a portable mirror on their table so they can check their teeth for food before they have to go on stage :D Imagine someone doing their acceptance speech with a big bit of spinach stuck on their teeth! :eek: :D

I loved the speech of the asian girl from Grey's Anatomy, she was so overwhelmed and excited and she bumbled her way through the whole thing and forgot people's names and had trouble finding her way up to the stage.

It was a terrible speech but I loved it because it really meant something to her to win, she was so excited and obviously didn't expect to win.
