Hi all, firstly my blood test came back :bfn: .
I new it cause all my HPT were, but AF is so late. The latest it has ever been...

If DH wants a sperm test, is there an extra cost/waiting list?? Should he join private health insurance before he decides to get these tests?

Firstly :hugs: Sorry to hear about your :bfn: ..I hope your OK and you AF comes back soon so you can start TTC again.. I know how frustrating this must be for you..hang in there sweetness.

As for the sperm test.. I cant be of much help sorry..my DH is in the Air Force and he get all his medical for free through work..he had his sprem test done about 3 months ago and I am pretty sure you just need a pathology slip from your GP and then your DH can go do the sample.

Kristi is right, he just needs to go to GP and get a pathology slip. My DH did that last week and has an appointment next week

I am hoping Dh may be able to be seen earlier as he had an injury while playing sport when he was a teenager. (Therefore he had to have an operation on his testicals)
He cant remember if the docs said it would effect his fertility.

could he request his medical records? it might say something in there if it was to affect his fertility?

AS soon as he gets the path slip and "abstains" for 3-7 days (depends on Doc how long that want him to wait) its done, results next day for us. (and BTW, turn out I Ovulated the day B4 we got the results for Chris, so On the results day, I was actually pregnant! not that we found out till several weeks later!) so :fingerscrossed: :fingerscrossed: for you.

hi singa06

I bought an at home sperm test for DH last month, online from lullaby conceptions,

Thanks so much! I will have a look at them.

P.s I read your other post in 35 plus cycles and I might see a naturopath soon as my friend saw one and it really helped her regulate her AF and then fall pregnant.

Hi Singa06,

My DH has now had 2 sperm tests and he is not too impressed about it. Our local GP got him to do the first one through the normal public system and didn't cost a cent just a little off his selfesteem. The second time was through the fertility specialist and we had to pay but can claim most of it back through medicare.

You can buy a 2 pack self sperm test from Lullabyconceptions.com

Try the DIY pack or go to your local GP

Regards,

Jess
