Annandale Mums

Hi Everyone

First time on the site so hello to everyone. I am just wondering if there are any Annandale based mums around who could give some advice on child care and info on bringing up bub in the Inner West. Just moved into the area and have very few friends with babies so feeling a little like a fish out of water..... Bub due in April

Hi Nicki. I'm not from near you either unfortunately but wanted to welcome you to the site. I hope there's someone here from your area that can help you. You could also try looking for other parents near you in the Chat with Other Parents Section which is set up by region in Australia: click here (http://www.bubhub.com.au/community/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=1).

There is also a group of mums due in April who regularly chat: Due in April 2006 (http://www.bubhub.com.au/community/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=168). I'm sure you'll find some support there, even if nobody is physically near to you.

I dont have my two in childcare but if you want to have a chat you could PM me or email me. We have lived here for one year now. My hubby is in the Airforce.

Hi Nic,

I am in the Inner West too and expecting my first baby in May. I don't know much about child care around Annandale particularly so can't help you there. I also don't know a lot of mums since I've only been in Sydney a few years and my friends are mainly childless.

BUT... if it helps, I am planning to attend ABA meetings before giving birth and they meet at Leichhardt. I've heard it's a great way to get to know other mums in the area.

Where are you having the baby? I'm booked into the birth centre at the RPA. We also have regular bubhub Sydney meet-ups so you are most welcome to come along and join us (they let us preggie chicks come along ;)).
