Just wondering who you've told that your pregnant???
So far we've told 2 really close friends... just waiting for a few weeks and then we'll tell DP's parents ((not looking forward to the lecture...but they'll be right once they have their say)) and then after that my parents and prob start telling the rest of our close friends a few weeks after that and than just whoever I guess....
Hope all that made sense:rolleyes:
We have told our immediate families, 2 close friends here & 2 overseas.
I wanted to try & keep quiet until 12 weeks, but the pot belly I have developed already may not make that so easy. We will at least be keeping the secret until after my first OB appointment which is next week when I will be 8 weeks.
Once we decide to tell people, I will start posting under my real username too which will be a relief! LOL
Oh & my close bubhub friends know that I am preg too.

Only our parents and bub hub know at the moment.
We are going to wait as long as we can to inform other people....
But I think a few of my friends may have cottoned on to the fact!

We've told our parents so far and that's all. We weren't even going to tell them yet but situations in their lives meant they needed to know because of plans they were making for February next year. I hope no one minds me asking - but if you are working when are you planning on telling your boss? I'm not sure when to let him know. I haven't really had any m/s or anything like that so it isn't affecting my work, just not sure when to tell.

We have told 3 close friends, and plan to tell both sets of parents next weekend. Don't think I'll tell work until 12 weeks, but depending on MS and what duties are given, that may happen at around 10 weeks.
I am busting to shout it out, but it seems too good to be true, so I'm waiting until doc appt this week.

We've told family (inc cousins etc) and close friends. Our theory is we tell people who we want support from if something goes wrong. That said, we've never been ones for following rules ;)
With DS we told everyone at 6 weeks as well.
We just feel confident that this one's a sticker. There have been other, non physical "signs" even just following conception  We knew there was a bubba a-coming.

I've only told my best friend & my sister. We're holding off telling our parents & everyone else because we're only coming up to 4 weeks now. Can anyone tell me what's the 'best' time to tell everyone & why? Like, when's the safest to assume the pregnancy will stick etc?
Hehehe...
I haven't even told my husband. He works away and doesn't want to know until he gets back, and to tell you the truth I would prefer to tell him face to face, not in an email.
Having said that it is one of the hardest things I have ever done and I don't know how I'm going to get through the next 5 weeks.
I have told my best friend (me and hubby agreed on a person for me to tell should this situation arise) who has a baby and has been the world of support for me. Wouldn't be able to cope without her, its too exciting not to tell anyone!

they say 12 weeks is the best time to start telling people because the risk of miscarraige has gone down... but if your like me i told everyone straight away but am not with this one...
i guess just when your ready is the best time....

Thanks lucycrystal - that's probably the best idea - to wait until we're ready.
And alegna, that's what we're soooo tempted to do too!!! It's gotta be the biggest & best secret I've ever had to keep LOL!!
We havent told anyone except bubhub (and DH doesnt even know about that !)
I want to tell everyone but know that i cant we are going to wait until 11-12 weeks,
My DH wants to just let me grow and see if anyone will say anything which would be quite funny to see but i dont know how long i can keep quite for

Lol about just letting your belly grow, Cin, wonder how long it would take for someone to say something!
MrsO that must be super hard for you hanging out to tell your hubby. Think I'd explode trying to keep that secret!!
We've only told you!! Oh, and my 1year old.
Haven't told chubba's big sis yet as she would prob only last a day before letting it slip to someone!
Not sure how long we'll wait though. Don't think I'll last the 12weeks. In a way, I think that even if something went wrong, you need the support of your family and they'd want to be there for you. I guess you can try to limit how many others know too soon though..

Well we broke & told my parents today!!! I waited half an hour after arriving at their place, until we were all sitting around the fireplace with a cuppa. DH had his camera at the ready to take pics of their initial reaction. Anyway, I said, "Oh yeah, I knew there was something I'd forgotten to tell you - I'm pregnant!" LOL! I've never seen such a double-take! Priceless. :D Anyway, they both got all teary & are absolutely over-the-moon. Aw, I love my mum & dad. :)

was going to keep it to ourselves BUT when my mum and close girlfriends ask (due to me telling them I was feeling sick and also knowing we had been trying), I couldn't possibly say no ~ i can't lie. so they know.
my in-laws don't know and i don't want them to know (i had a m/c in november and they weren't any support) ~ thing is its my DS#1 3rd birthday on sunday and DH reckons someone in my family will let it slip....i'll deal with it then.

We've told my mum and one of my sisters, 2 friends overseas and one friend here. We are working it on the basis that if people need to know or question it and we trust them we will say something, but are trying to keep as quiet as possible.
I will tell my boss once i've had my first appt with the Ob at 12 weeks.

Aww, that made me cry
We've been telling everyone but family . We didn't mean for it to happen like that.
I know DH's family will be happy. But I don't think my mum will be. Fingers crossed she proves me wrong :fingerscrossed:
