View Full Version : Implantion pains-what do they feel like?
Can anyone who has had implantation pains let me know what they feel like? Also, how many days post ovulation did you get them (if you know)
I'm not sure if I'm having them or not. I'm 6 d.p.o. and they feel a bit like pains when you get diahorrea, but they are low down where I would get period pains. They are not painful, just noticeable.

I've felt them every time I got pregnant- usually as low mild cramping which went off and on for 12 hours or so.
For me it was about 12 d.p.o. with this pregnancy and a little less with Felix- but they say it's usually 7-10 d.p.o.
If you're unsure, try one of those early pg tests... and don't be too discouraged if it's negative, sometimes they take a while to show up.

I had a stabbing pain and cramping of my left side around about day 10.

I originally asked this question and now can answer it myself. I did have implantation pains and they were like stabbing pains down my side, around Day 10 and 11. They felt quite similiar to constipation pains, but was able to ascertain that they were implantation pains.
Due date is now 31 December! (hope it comes early like my other 2, I think heavy Christmas meals and everyone getting drunk arounds me during the festive season would drive me crazy!)

I had pains just like you describe that started the day before my period was due (in fact I thought it was my period starting). I was a regular 28 day cycle so I guess they would have been 13 days after ovulation.
Kathleen - I am not sure why people get implantation pains but perhaps they are just your body reacting to the hormones that get produced when implantation happens!?
Katherine - good luck! Let us know how you go - I couldn't believe it when I was confirmed pregnant and to be honest, I still can't believe I am despite the kicks and squirms that go on!

Everyone who is trying for a baby ! I "think" I had implantation pains last week, now Its just a waiting game. My period is due on Friday, who else is due around the same day ?

I've had no spotting, but a few little weird pains mostly to my left side. I did a test this morning but it was negative, my hubby said not to think anything of it cause they aren't due till Saturday. My boobs are really sore though.
Im am also due either Friday or Saturday (not to sure when they want to come), and this is my first time of trying... Last week i had pains on my left side but have not had any spotting yet... If anyone could help me with extra information would be GREAT....

A lot of people keep talking about having sore boobs if that helps at all. This is our first month trying but I've been of the pill since Jan. We are trying the timing thing for a girl, so fingures crossed.

I havn't had sore boobs yet, just the pain in my left and side... I've been off the pill since this time last year, but we didn't start trying till April... My fingures are crossed that by Saturday you will know if you are... I did a test this morning and it was negative (so im not counting on being pregnant this time)

My fingures are crosssed for you, let us know how you go and I will keep you posted. I have been feeling a little sick today aswell, I just had a coffee and it really isn't sitting, so I'm still trying to think positive.
I did a test yesterday & l was also negative, though my period is not due till Friday, so I am still hoping ! My boobs are sore but not sure if it is because I keep touching them to check if they are sore that I am making them tender ;)
Yesterday & today I have had a funny taste in my mouth not exactley "metallicy" but like milky ? Coffee & meat now taste terrible as well ? Way Too soon for that I thought ???????? Is it all in my head ?!?!?!?!? :o

I just was wondering if any of you have had the pains in the lower stomach, and if so what was the feeling.. Because when i had the pain last week it was like a pre-period pain (if you know what i mean)... Also what pregnancy test have you girls used i used the Fortel one that i got from the woolworths...
PS I hate waiting also....(only till Friday though)

For me the pains were just like period pains - but not as strong. I kept thinking that I was due but kept getting negative tests. Finally 4 days after my period was supposted to start I got 2 pink lines. The next day I went to the docs to confirm and on his urine preg test I was negative, but a blood test confirmed that I was pregnant with 256 hcg levels! I think sometimes the pregnancy tests aren't as reliable as they claim - fortel is supposed to show up at 25 hcg and although I was 10 times that , it didn't show! I am now 35 weeks and counting....

To all the girls waiting for their periods to NOT come, how did it turn out? I hope you all got the 2 pink lines :) . I too am waiting, I have totally irreguar periods so no hope of judging when they should be due :( but I too have had these weird little short cramps down near the ovaries, not something I have ever had. I did have a 3 day bleed last weekend, but it was only kind of heavy the second day, the other 2 just spotting. I did a test today ("First Sign" I think it was called) and it was negative. I was devastated but my husband just laughed, he doesn't think it would show for at least another week or 2 :o
I hate waiting!!!
Has anyone had implantation pains both sides? These twinges are predominantly right side, but a couple on the left?

I am still waiting for my friends to show up im going to give them a few more days though because i think im stressed out about this whole am i or not thing as its my very first time of really trying for a baby so i don't really know what to look for... i have been told to relax but am i highly strung person who likes things done there & then (if you know what i mean)...
Last week i had pains in my right side so i just put it down to maybe my period or something... Im due today for my friends but no sign as yet (normally get PMS & headaches) but nothing...

Hey, I am the same, never tried before so no idea whether I am seeing signs, or over-reacting! I just have this feeling that I am pregnant, you probably know exactly what I mean, a mixture of perception and hoe :p

Its Sunday Morning, I am 2 days late ! I so hope this is the month. I did a pregnancy test on Friday though it came up negative :( Many of my firends said the test did not show positive for at least a week after there period was due. I really cant wait that long.......
When do you think I could go for a blood test ?

Hi everyone got my period last friday 2 days late after getting my hopes up it was terrible but better luck this month. Good luck to everyone out there still trying to conceive maybe this will be our months keep me posted.
Sorry to hear the bad luck girls, it really sucks when your body seems to be giving you all the right signals, and it ends up being a false alarm! :mad:
I have PCOS (you will probably have seen my posts in that thread if you have visited) so I don't ever know when periods are due, or how long they will last (between 1 day and a month so far for each period).
So... still waiting here, haven't taken another test, too disapointing if it is negative!
But, in saying that, no period yet in quite a while, though quite a bit of old spotting, who knows eh? :rolleyes:

Well it's Wendnesday and my periods are now 4 days late, however getting what i think is period pain (i hope they come this week cause im going to QLD next weekend)..... i had a test done on Monday which came back negative..... but my blood pressure is up sky high so i need to start thinking of other thing than having a baby i think i'vealready started putting pressure on both myself and husband.....
If anyone has any great ideas to make me relax and forget about this whole baby thing please tell me ASAP....

I am having slight abdominal pain for past 2 days.i feel i had my period but i can see some whitsh cloths floting with the urine. I dont know if this is normal . i am trying to conceive for past 2 months. can i do pregnancy test now . My period is due on 9 the feb. kindly advise.
