Hi all,

Another expat here, just thought I'd say hello.

I'm based in India at the moment, considering another contract extension in Asia but not sure where it will be yet.

So, where are you all?!

Hi dreamer,

Wow, are you excited?

I replied to your other post about moving to India - have you decided definitely to take the assignment?

Have you been to India before?

Let me know if there's anything you need to know or that I can help out with.

hi there ellemm. i'm in hanoi but am due to go home soon. we've been here for nearly 2 and a half years. if you want a break from the hustle and bustle of india, hanoi is a pretty good option. it's noisy and busy but is a smaller city that has a real charm about it. what line of work are you in?

Wow, quite a spread out bunch!

Redcrayon, I've been wanting to visit Vietnam for a long time. One day...

Dreamer, I'm in Madras - not too far from Bangalore (about 6-7 hours drive). Bangalore has a huge expat community, lots of MNCs based there. And I know what you mean about being nervous - its like jumping into the deep end when you haven't visited a country before you move. How long will you stay?

Not for too long though...We are going home for Christmas...We hope to live in Russia one day though...A little bit of a trial run and trying to get the language downpat.

HI Sethjarum
Beautiful part of the world. We lived in Quorn about 1/2 way between Leicester and Nottingham for 2 years before we moved to the ME. Love Nottingham. The pubs sitting in public drinkin a pint!!!, Waggamamas. The shopping, the cold weather. ahhh memories.

Hi sunshine,

I just signed up as a member and I was hoping that there would be some recent activity here. I am in Sri Lanka, so close but not quite India :). Where are you located?

Hi there.....thought I'd reactivate this thread. I'm in Japan, just outside of Tokyo. My husband is Japanese. I've lived here for 9 years in total. Pregnant with our first. I don't miss Australia, but am considering moving back (or to another country where English is the first language) when baby is school-age.

It's been pretty quiet in here for a while, so I just thought I'd say hello and see if there are still any other Australians lurking overseas!

I'm in Canada, and have been for nearly 3 years, but am expecting my first kidlet in August. Staying in Canada for now, but possibly a move back to Australia in 2011?
