Can I test yet??

Hi,
Am a bit of a lurker here, but this might change in the future ;)

Please pardon if I don't have all the lingo down yet :p

My af is due this Sat. I've bought a home pregnancy kit, as there's a chance I could be pregnant. The kit says you can't use it until 5 days before your due date ... which is tomorrow (have had pretty regular afs since coming off the pill in the middle of '05).
Can I use it earlier? Obviously I'm a bit of a "by the books" gal, and this is the first time really there's been a chance of me being preggers ...

Hi Katie, if you're really that impatient do one in the morning with your first urine. If it's negative, wait a few more days or until your due day and do another one.

Thanks for the replies ... am going overseas for work later this week, and normally use red wine + melatonin to knock me out and help me sleep on the flight/after I've arrived to adjust to the time zone.
As we haven't really tried before, don't know what our chances are like, and I also don't want to be drinking and taking stuff if I know I'm preggers ..

Well, I tested on tuesday morning, and there was only one line.

Now, it's four days after af was due, and I've tested again, and there are two lines. Goodness gracious!

Congrats Katie, just shows that if you wait a couple of extra days (so hard I know) the results can be worth it.

Yes you sure can! I did it with mine because I just couldnt wait! And aye I remember DH and I both jumped up and down like crazy people when we saw 2 big fat lines lol
