Ever since my DH went away for a few weeks I think I've become more so of a natural parent then ever before.
Cosleeping is EXCELLENT. Time devoted to carrying baby sans pram is up, boobie over food is also up..etc..etc..
Is there a correlation? Do you reckon more mums BF/Co-sleep when there is no man to hamper their paths?
I'll chuck in a poll to appease the poll junkies
Hmm... interesting thought ally. I suppose, in some ways it would make it easier. For example, I would co-sleep more without DH as there is more room in the bed, and I am too lazy to get up in the night! As it is, when DD wakes at night, DH gets her and she spends the rest of the night with us.
For me, it wouldn't be so much as DH hampering my path, but me being lazy!!

 Men take up ALOT of room in the bed. And they complain about "baby noise" a lot more too.. haha.. DS used to be SOOOO noisy! All night it was:
snork!
snuffles!
sniffle!
DP hampers nothing.
He IS henpecked though bwahahahahahahaha.

I think that if I had have been single, co-sleeping and babywearing would have been more commonplace... but the breastfeeding thing had nothing to do with DP. I breastfed for a short amount of time and gave it up for stupid reasons that had nothing to do with DP - he was supportive either way. (In a way though, I kinda wished he'd encouraged me to keep breastfeeding...rather than just being happy with whatever decision I made...).
I think having DH around is helpful in encouraging BF. I love BF now, but when struggling with those first few weeks, his gentle encouragement and support kept me going.

Not in my case. Not breastfeeding is completely my choice and I personally could never sleep with my kids. I love my kids more then anything in this world but I also enjoy having my own bed to sleep in.

Not sure, but I know that if I was single I'd probably have Hayley and Skye in the bed coz for some reason I can't sleep very well if I am alone in the bed, when Grant goes out I have Hayley in the bed with me.
