I didnt feel anything till about 22 weeks.... Now he is making up for lost time though :D ! Others with their first time bubs felt it about 20/21 weeks, those with second and third etc felt it much earlier....

I first felt Julius move at about 14/15 weeks, he was doing "real" kicking at about 18/19 weeks.

I felt DD at 17 weeks. Only just little flutters and they progressively got much stronger. :D Now she hits me by herself on the outside

I'm 18 weeks on Wednesday and I dont think I'n feeling anything yet. I get little stomach movements IYKWIM but I'm not sure if thats the baby or just normal tummy stuff.
I've heard its more common to start feeling things around 20 -24 weeks so i'm not worrying just yet.

I have felt 3 kicks I am going into week 17 it only happens when I am on my side in bed. I think the baby this time round is not as big as the others and so has plenty of room. Ds 1 I didn't feel till 21 weeks the more baby's you have the quicker you will feel the movements. Don't worry it will happen and in the last few weeks you won't sleep so make the most of it now. I know it is reassuring.:ecomcity:

Any where from 18-24 weeks.. It depends how your bubs is sitting and also where your placenta is.. If its at the front chances are it will take a little longer to feel movements..
Dont stress.. :hugs:

I felt my first one at 17 weeks.
For me it was like someone just tapping your stomach with their finger - but from the inside!
I felt the more "fluttery" type feelings further on when the baby was a bit bigger.
But those first movements definitely felt more like a gentle "poke" :D

This is also my first bub. I didn't feel it until late into the 17th week. Mine doesn't feel like flutter though. It feels exactly like how Emmylou described it. I was also worried at 16 weeks when I didn't feel anything. Low and behold the next week bub's decided to let me know it was OK by kicking me 6 times. Your bubs is probably already kicking, just that you can't feel it yet. I know how you are feeling...I was just as worried when I couldn't feel bubs moving, so just hang in there it will happen for you soon.

Well described.. I can't remember when I first felt DD - I will have to pull out my first pregnancy diary - but I was 17 weeks on MOnday and started feeling a few faint pokes last week, they are becoming more noticeble and a bit stringer this week, I am very excited for the movements to become big kicks again!:smiliedance:

I think I can feel bub moving. For the last two weeks or so it feels a little bit like I have butterflies in my tummy. I can usually feel them at night time when I am lying really still in bed. I can usually feel it just underneath and to the right of my bellybutton. I hope it's the bub, or else something weird is happening in there!

Mine started really early with this pregnancy - started feeling flutters at around 12 weeks, along with braxton hicks tightenings. Has continued to be really active in there since that time, especially the contraction part. No pain or bleeding though so I am not going to stress. Think I read somewhere that it can be quite common with subsequent children. xx

On this topic . . . I first felt movement at 16ish weeks (the finger tapping from inside). A week later some really big kicks and since then regular kicking, rolling and other undetermined movements.
I thought feeling her move at 16 weeks was very early for a first bub. My placenta is at the back, so that is not in the way . . I'm not huge for 22 weeks now (I don't think) and I do believe bub was tucked in pretty low for ages and moved up around the 17/18 weeks mark b/c my sciatica eased then.
Ok - my question . . . . would feeling them that early indicate a big baby? Or a tall one? or something?? She measured 18w + 3 days at ultrasound (I was 18w 5 days from LMP), but is that any real indication of potential size?
I was just telling a friend how active bub is (much more than I expected) and that the kicks are sometimes so strong they hurt a bit and she said she thinks my bub will be a tall one. Any credibility to that?
