My GP has referred me and DH to Dr Mark Lawrence (Bayside Womens Health in Bentleigh) for fertility tests.

Anyone been to see him?

Thanks,
Jackie

Jackie,
I haven't seen him but I've not heard very many good reports. We are seeing Dr Lyndon Hale...Who's your ob?

Shajake,

This Dr is an OB - have been referred to him by my GP for further investigation. He deals with everything from infertility to IVF.

I see Mark. I first went to him for fertility problems and am now 6 weeks pregnant after 3 cycles of clomid. A friend of my has had ovulation induction with him resulting in three babies (seperate pregnancies). I like him, he is thorough and doesn't muck around, which suits me. Let me know if you have further questions, I haven't been to anyone else apart from GP before so don't have anyone to compare with.

Thanks Sophttc,

I was quite surprised to to be referred to a specialist straight away. Thought GP would have done a blood test first!

GP said it was better for me and DH to be seen as a couple, rather than me have tests firsts when it could be something wrong with DH.

Was very pleased that they do a late clinic on a Weds - don't have the hassle of trying to get out of work now!

Thank you. Very excited but nervous, can't wait to hear a heart beat, just trying very hard to be positive at this stage. I think some GP's just think don't muck around, mine was the same, fertility can take a while to look into. Hubby will probably only have to do sperm analysis and maybe HIV test. You on the other hand, will do a bit more than that! I don't ovulate regularly and i knew that before ttc. Was about to start ovulation induction myself but ovulate late on last cycle of clomid (around day 40)!

DH and I went to see Dr Mark Lawrence yesterday evening. We are very happy with him. You're right, he doesn't muck around! Had pap smear there and then with DH in the room. Had blood tests this morning, already booked in for a laparoscopy next month - he can do me on a Saturday which means I don't have to get out of work. DH just needs to give a sperm sample.

Didn't think it would all happen so quick!
