My dd is on a lactose free formula.

I was just wondering what milk would I use to make things like custards.

I give her a bit of soy milk on her brekky but I don't think it is suitable for babies under 12mths in larger quantities.

And on the rice milk cartons it says not suitable for children under 2.

I know that there is a lactose free milk that you can get in the dairy section but would prefer to have her on dairy free products as well as she gets excema too.

She is 8 1/2 mths old.

Thanks,
Michelle

I used regular soy milk to make DD custard. I just used custard powder mix and soy milk. You could probably just use her formula milk, cos she's still so young, just make up enough for that day. Give it a try see how you go. I do remember that I didn't have to use as much milk to powder, as soy milk makes it a bit watery, just trial and error I suppose.

my ds has an intollerance to cows milk, we give him goats milk. He handles it ok. We are slowley introducing dairy in the form of yoghurt and lactose free milk. But try the goats milk.
