Apparently her area is badly affected by the weather and I haven't heard from her since Friday... I am getting worried can anyone from UMINA or nearby tell me what is the status how bad it is etc??

Im on the coast. I havent heard any reports about that end of the coast. I dont think there was any major dramas down umina way. I know the phonelines all over the place are down as is alot of the electricity supply. There is also something like 500 mobile phone towers out.
Hope your friend is safe.

My parents are in Tuggerah and Terrigal and both are OK just home phones not working and mobiles go in and out... I would say Umina is fine because it down there end of the coast if you know what I mean....

yeah i live in umina it was pretty bad strom i know power was out for some time as my inlaws were out for 2 days but we are not flooded here just lots of mess to clean up thats all im sure your friend is ok :thumbsup:

I live just down the road from Umina.

We have just got the power back on (about an hour ago), its been off since friday. I heard that some people in Umina wont have it back on til wed.

I am sure your friend is fine, we have had pretty severe storms but no flooding in this area.
