Hiya,

if youre in Darwin (or visit) and are interested in elimination communication (EC) or practice it... i'd love to meet YOU!

we've been doing it 4 about 2 or 3 months, part time to full time - depending on how i feel. We are successful for the most part - considering what it is, and we love it!!

i'm chatting on other sites to mums practicing it, but am yet to find anyone here in Darwin!

pm me if youre keen to meet -(even if u dont do it yet!) and we'll arrange something - i'd love my dd to hang out with other nappy free babies!

try googling elimination communication and natural infant hygeine, it's a lot to try to explain here, but basically you start by holding your infant to pee into toilet/container at opportune times like after drink and sleep. Then you learn the things bub does before doing wees and poos, so you can take them. then bub can learn to 'tell' you.
It's about keeping bub clean and dry, and not 'teaching' them to poop on themselves. which is essentially what you do from birth.
You'll have better communication with bub, and $AVE money on nappies!

i've been doing it since about 2 months with DD and i could be more on-to-it, but we do well a lot of the time. i don't count misses (out of toilet places) or catches (in toilet place).
it's an awesome feeling the first time you hold bub over the toilet place, and you say your cue and she goes!
(i used sink in bathroom so i could see in mirror when she went) we say 'have you got wees?' and cue with psss psss.
You really have to read up on diferent ways of doing it and other peoples perspectives.

Good Luck!
