ok guys u all most probably sick of me by now but one last one :)
I am 38 weeks with my 4th, i have been induced at 35 weeks and 36 weeks with my other 3 children with high blood pressure. We r doing ok this time around but im a little lost as i never been this far before. The doctor said last monday that the baby had dropped and he would say id go into labour within 2 weeks! Then last nite whn i went to the toilet there was this thick mucus and it just hasnt stopped coming. Tonite it has started to get brown tinges in it. Anyone have any suggestions it would b greatly appreciated ty
I am mum of 5 too, I had a lot of this mucus just before labour with all of mine. The brown is actually old blood from the mucus plug in your cervix it means that you cervix is softening(ripening) and getting ready for labour so it should not be long now. All the best.

Hi lost mum-
they call tha mucus plug a 'show'- its a good sign that your body is getting ready for labour. I had one 5 days before Felix was born, my midwife told me I could have gone as long as 2 weeks from the show to labour.
Sounds like you're on your way! make sure you get plenty of rest...
ok i went to the doctors and he said i could still go for another 2 weeks. OO i hate this waiting and i dont know how much fluid i can lose from my body haha. yes i know im just impatient but it is weird having all this stuff happening and just wanting him out , ty for ur advice all , :D

Hi Lost Mum,
I am a mother of four with another on the way. With my first I had a show a few hours before I went into labour. So it is possible you could go any time now. With all my others I can't remember having a show at all. I hope it is not long now, and I wish you all the best.

hi lostmum,
yeah, its a good sign that labour is coming, but i didn't lose my mucus plug until i was well and truly in labour (big contractions and already at hospital) with both my babies. go figure ... :D
