I am finally going to sew up my bamboo boosters that I have cut out. Do I have to sew them first before I overlock or just overlock the edges? Has anyone done this without sewing first?
Cheers.

I say just sew them without overlocking. Then send my your overlocker, I really need one. :D

Have fun sewing. I'm sewing some dresses today, should be fun. It's a lovely day to sew here today.

Thanks girls.
 at you Tickle. I have my overlocker sitting here on the bench and I am still not sure what to do with it, so today will be experiment day!

I have to say, I'm so in love with bamboo. It is just so soft-I think I'll make a couple of hankies from it just so I can rub my nose on it's softness! :p

So here they are. Four large boosters with a pocket bit at one end in which to put one of the four smaller boosters. I still have to master keeping the fabric close enough to the needles-there are a couple of bits where the loops are hanging over but I am pleased I finally sat down and gave it a go.

Right, off to sew up some cloth pads with the left over bits! :D

Well, Hamish went to bed with a BBH bamboo and a new 'twin-set' of bamboo that I made so I'll see how it goes. I am too impatient to pre-wash. :D

Your a pretty clever chicken, Funky ;) I love the pocket in booster idea, I must try that one.

Oh and on the love of bamboo......My DD has a woven bamboo blanket on her bed and it just is sooooooo lovely and soft and warm I could hug it all day (same with DD I guess but the blanket doesnt answer back)

:D Ah, Reidy, my friend, so lovely to see you in here. A bamboo blanket! Now that is something I would love.
*goes off to calculate how many metres are needed to make a decent sized blanket*

Thanks TL. I am going to need a bit more practice though. There were a few missed bits that I had to go back over and then of course I was chopping more material away. I need to slow down a bit and stop whizzing the material through so fast! :p
Thanks again for organizing that co-op. I am really happy with the bamboo.
