HIya!
DH and i married.. in a bit of a hurry but it was beautiful!
Mum got me a dress on ebay - could have been worse! we had to undo all the seams so just the edge stitching held it coz i was preggas!
We married creek-side at Tumbling waters. We and the bridal party and the parents stayed in Villas and gave info for guests to stay if they pleased! most did, there are cabins too, and camping. We SELF CATERED, and i wouldn't recommend it to anyone! unless you have total faith in the person you ask to keep it under control! our "cook" (he just had to bbq and assemble some dishes and put things in the pie warmers) was late therefore so was the food.
It was November 2006 and we had some rain for the season already and it was a stinker, but after dinner most of us went for a swim in the pool so it was a great evening!
Depends what you're after though.
The people at Tumbling waters were wonderful!

Hubby and I eloped in Darwin while hubby was posted there. A very low key affair. We got photos taken at Finnie Bay (a long the beach at sunset) and in our own back yard. It was the wet season so the grass was nice and green and the flowers and palm trees were beautiful. Brought wedding dress in Brisbane before heading to Darwin. Alterations to my dress and hubby's suite wes done in Darwin at Just Formals in the Mall (AnthonyPlaza) Darwin.

Place of wedding: Our place on RAAF base
Reception: Hogs Breath Cafe ( Our favorite place)
Celebrant: Maree Connor (lovely lady)
Hair: Vanity Hair and Beauty (Parap Shopping Centre)
Cake: The cheesecake shop
Flowers: Roses (Fake) I've also be told
Winnellie Florist is great.
Photographer: Fiona Morrison ( very professional and not expensive)

what song did you have i'm trying to decided on one at the moment.
Are you a yellow gold, white gold or rose gold person? when will you be getting your eternity ring do you have a plane wedding band or one to match your engagement ring?

I decided on a plane one but not so sure now. eternity ring in 10 years partner said is that correct?

I'm a white gold person I had my wedding band made to fit my engagemnet ring. My wedding band has 5 diamonds on it which are in line with the diamonds on my engagement ring. my eng ring has one big diamond then 4 smaller ones on each side and it curves a bit. It's hard to explain i'll try take a pic of it.

My wedding song was Lady in Red which Paul chose.

Eternity rings are meant to be 10 years only 8 more years to go, Paul said though that I might get mine at a special event in our lives before that like the birth of our last child or something so i'll wait and see.

I'll post a pic of my wedding later so you can put a face to the name.

Damn i haven't been on here for ages!

I can show you my invites that i made Kaileesmum.
Here are mine, I LOVE them, they look heaps better in real life though.

I got my ring from Hoskings, and my partner got his ring from Diamond House, both a yellow gold, with diamonds.
My ring has diamonds going all across the top, so all you see is diamonds when you look from the top, it is pretty simple, as my engagement ring has a big diamond in it. They aren't a set.
I honestly haven't even thought about eternity rings.

As for music we aren't having the traditional type of music people have it is alittle different but it suits us, we are choosing songs that have a meaning to us, not just a love song, (one song is from Blink 182:eek: , it is for the cutting of the cake).

Hope all your wedding plans go well!

What day in August are you getting married? I am getting married on the 18th

Hey,
I walked down to Evermore's "Never let you go" I just love that song. Our first dance was to brown eye girl. Our Rings are all yellow gold, i like yellow more then white or rose. My engagement ring has three medium size diamonds along the top with three smaller diamonds along both sides. My wedding ring has about 10 diamonds in it that line up perectly with my engagement ring. Everytime i look down at my hand all i see are sparkles, love it haha.

Lizzie, love your invites. I did something similar but with a franagpani paper and different colours. Tou must be getting excitied. I miss all the planning and excitiment already. I wish i could have made the Ceremony last longer but i was too busy trying not to cry. I couldn't believe it crying was the last thing i though i would do haha.

Thanks Carly and Lee!

So many people are getting married on the 18th!
Have you found it hard to get any services since you are booking stuff so close?
I booked our photographers (Infocus) as soon as we set the date, so a year in advance and even then we almost didn't get them!
Same with our DJ (double treble) booked him a year in advance and someone else was wanting him for the same day. I booked our celebrant really early too as soon as Sha gave the recommendation i booked him lol.

I only booked our cars though um like last week, from Acacia(sp?) and i was surprised they still had 2 cars left for that day! And especially when they are $85 an hour:eek: You can't go wrong!!

I have had my cake lady booked since March, i am in love with her cakes! So glad i got her she is awesome!

I did miss out on getting the honeymoon suite at the airport resort though:crying: But i did get the resort suite which is still nice, it is only for one night so wasn't too worried anyway.

Where abouts are you getting married? What about your reception. We are having our reception at the Turf club and now they have decided to put a race on that day:rolleyes: not happy! Half of our guests are from the racing industry, so half of our guests won't even be at the ceremony cause they have to race/train

I am so excited i so can't wait, but then i am starting to dread all this wedding stuff to be over I am LOVING every minute of it. I don't think a day goes by without me talking about something to do with the wedding, i am going to be lost!
