View Full Version : So what are you getting your bubba's for their 1st bday???
The time is fast approaching for first birthdays..... and I thought I had my ideas all figured out.....
I've already got P a cute bday outfit, another Hi-5 dvd (The Party one), and a gorgeous charm bracelet....
She got an early bday pressie in her kitty Monty a couple of mths ago..... so not going any "big" pressies come bday time...
I have a few ideas about what else I want to get her, obviously a charm for the bracelet, a ball, some books, some more musical instrument toys but I'm not sure what else... or whether I want to change my mind.....
So what does everyone plan to get their little ones.... please share your ideas...... might give me the inspiration I need!!

Well,
We've bought her this basket thing that's part of this stuff called 'Pop-onz'.
We're getting my old signet (sp?) ring re-sized, but I don't know if we'll give it her for her bday or not...her fingers are sooo little.
I want to get her one of those fold out couches and some more Hairy MacLary Books...
Sorry I'm not much help...
Her Great-grandma is getting her a swing or a rocking horse. And her Grandma has got her a tmx elmo and a phonics reading book
Hmmm....
Grandma has got P a trike, with parent control....
Nan & Pop were asking what to get her the other day, and I think I'm gonna tell them a fold out couch thing.... but its hard to find one thats not a tacky licensed one..... that doesn't cost the earth.... all the "trendy" ones are like $200.... I guess I could recover one....

Hairy Maclaery is a fav at our place too, we've got a DVD (try the ABC shop) but the books are still popular.
I dont know what to get for Mr P........ I might just go to the factory outlet shop in Liverpool and see what tickles my fancy.
DJs sale had heaps of fisher price for 30% (?) off, but it all looks the same and I got confused, (and the music annoys the **** outta me).
I might just get a really nice "classic" tonka truck...every boy should have a tonka truck..........

Sasha has HUGE tonka truck,it came with a free tool and safety hat.
We also got him a little car thing it is soft material with plastic wheels so he can still push it around(which he loves to do,with making the broom broom noises),it has buttons at the top that makes noises.
We got him a cubby house, and this truck that does burnouts,he absoloutely loves cars.
And a ride on bike.
and 1 set of pj's.
Yep he is spoilt.
I just put them on layby and pay a bit off every week,i started getting his pressies about 1 month ago.
This is a combined prenent,my mum has put in money for it so its from us and grandma

I refuse to buy house toys now, they have so many i prefer to take them outside to play so try and get them big things like cubby, swings, trampoline etc.
They love going outside while i do the washing.

Hey gals
Well, actually I'm just popping out to buy part of it now.
my toddler as a Leap Pad (for ages 3-5) and absolutely loves it and Lach always wants to use it too, so I've decided to get him a My First Leap Pad (which are on special at Toy World at the moment)
In addition to this, I'll get him a special hardback book and a car somethingoraother , as he's obsessed with cards. I'm not planning on going OTT for first b'day!
Generally for my men's b'days, I always get:
*A book
*A game/puzzle
*Soemthing crafty- eg. paints, pens, stamps.
Anyway better go pop into July as I've been VERY absent of late...
