Smiles can be anywhere from 1day to 10weeks! DS smiled at his daddy at about 3 or 4weeks, but then didn't really do anymore until last week - 7weeks. Lots of 'wind' smiles that he always puked straight after. lol. He is smiling more now, but still no laughs - not sure when that starts. DD was not a big smiler until she was around 3months, and DS seems to be a very serious boy ATM - it all varies. The only time he really smiles a lot is at the start of a feed, i stroke his face and just after he latches on he looks up at me & grins - boob still in mouth - as if to say thanks, his little eyes light up & he looks so happy.

I was worried with DD as she didn't smile, laugh or babble that much to begin with, but at 2yo now she is sure making up for it.

DD would smile quite early, but I could not tell for sure if it was the real thing. Even though I swear it was:detective:

But real full face gummy smiles started coming in around 5 or 6 weeks.

I'm now waiting for the laughs to start:D

Troy started to smile at around a week and laugh at around 2-3 weeks. They were rather silent laughs, but you could tell that that's what they were.

The reason I asked coz Skye is almost 4 weeks and has been smiling a little bit but I was told maybe it might be wind  From memory I THINK Hayley smiled at around 6 weeks or there abouts and laughed at about 8 or 9 weeks.

I can always tell when they're wind smiles.... Her eyes smile too when they are the real ones!!

She started smiling around 10 days and silent laughing at around 2-3 weeks... Now she actually laughs...
