LOL!

Um our full on winter bill is around the $600 mark because I've been perpetually pregnant the last 5 years and had the heat pump going. Plus we bought a clothes dryer last winter and I just don't care how much it costs to run - it's worth every cent! :D

Summer bills are pretty much cut in half though.

Ours are usually about $400, we have the heat pump going most of the time. But our house is only small. :)

Ours is fixed (not pay-as-you-go though) it works out really well. Our heating isn't electric though, it would cost a fortune it was 0 degree's in our kitchen when I was making bread at 4am this morning!! We have 2 wood fires - one is an open fire and the other a box heater but isn't very effecient heat producer. The open fire is brilliant and hubby is wonderful at getting it ragin :D

We are looking into getting gas heating but at the moment there is no natural gas lines in our area.

Our power bill during last winter was up around the $600-700 mark due to heat pump and cloths dryer.
We've just got pay as you go and use around $20-25 per week even with the heater and dryer going.
I was talking to a woman from aurora and she was saying that if you use your dryer, washing machine and dish washer after 4pm it only costs about 8c per kw where as if you use them during the day its around 16c per kw so its almost half the price. Since she told me that I've been doing alot of my washing of a night and putting some of it in the dryer (our cloths line is tiny, one load of washing and its full!!).

Well I'm not really sure as we put $50 a fortnight in the Pay As You Go so we always have heaps of credit. But most of the time I do a wash every day and we have had the heat pump non no stop for the past couple of weeks so we are using about $30 a week right now.
