Hey guys,

The wedding is not far away now and i have been thinking back of when i first met Blake. I have to laugh everytime because it was at the Vic on a night out. I really did not want to meet my future husband at the Vic haha. Oh well it's done now and i am so glad i did go out that night.

The first time i saw Blake he was wearing a leather jacket and standing at the bar. I laughed at him because who wears a leather jacket here in Darwin especially at the vic. I just found it to be so weird.

The next week i went out again, only because my cousin was here on holidays and she begged me to go. Ok she didn't have to try to hard because i had that weekend off work anyways haha. We were on the dance floor showing off our moves haha when i got pushed by someone and fell on this guy and yes you guessed it was Blake. I only reconised him because of the week before when he was wearing that leather jacket. I gave him this really weird look as to say your that guy with the jacket. He responded by giving me a weird look as to say why are you looking at me like that haha.

It kind of just went from there really, we started talking he made me laugh and asked for my number. I have seen him almost everyday since that night except for when he has to go away for work.

When he first told me he loved me he did it with this rose which was fake but on the card it said "my love for you will die with this rose". It was so sweet and romantic and i knew that he was the one. He's not as romantic as he was back then but he still does little things here and there that give me butterflies.

So thats how we met, there is more to it but that is pretty much what happened. i hope to hear of your story

I met my DP at a party in 2005 :D He was in the corner of the pool by himself with a shy smile, I like his hair/face so I introduced myself to him he had a sexy voice and I liked his name.We hung out the whole night, But he didnt have the guts to ask for my number or ask me out even though I knew he wanted to.

Some of you already know how and when me and DH met.

We first seen each other at a new years eve gathering on 31/12/2001.

We didn't really start to hang out untill April 2002 we both liked each other but we still looking for other people. In July 2002 I said to him that I can't go on just being friends any more either we become a proper couple or I walk away now and we don't see each other again.

Well he agreed that we are more than just friends and wanted me in his life and the rest is history we moved in together (plus wol) in Nov 2002 got engaged Sep 2003 finally moved in to a DHA house just the 2 of us. Bought our first house Nov 2004, married June 2005 and then along came Kaleb June 2006.
We have now been married for 2 years and together for 5years and life is sweet.Valentine

Well DH asked me to marry him one day when he was out bush he was on a 6 week bush trip and he was going to ask me dec of that year but he was sitting out in the bush with mercep and decided that he loved me too much and couldn't bare the thought of me not being in his life forever so he got on the sat phone and asked me over the phone.
When he got back 3 weeks later he did get down on one knee and ask properly with a ring.

I met J through our skyline car forum. I had joined to spite my then not so DF - as he has his car forums, i owned a classic skyline, so i joined SAU. J was a mod, and was amazed that 1. a girl had a classic skyline and 2. knew about cars...

After splitting with ex, i moved to sydney and J and i started chatting on the phone. He flew me to meet him, then i moved here shortly after.

That was almost 2 years ago.

How did he propose?

He took me to dinner at the same place he took me for our first date when he flew me here. I was heavily pg, and uncomfortable. They didnt clean the tables in a hurry (allowing him to cleanly lean over the table) - so when we got in the car he asked me then.... It was so very us... and a moment i will treasure forever... :D

We went out for a lovely dinner, when we were in QLD. He then took me to a look out, at Gladstone. He got down on a half bended knee (The ground was wet :laughing:). And asked if I would spend the rest of my life with him :kiss:

this sounds bad, anyway, i met my DH through my ex, they were best bud's at school. i never looked at DH in that way but when the ex did the dirty DH saved my day. We tried to continue being friends (known each other 2 years) but we couldnt do it!
DH proposed by hiding a ring in a chrissy present!! very sweet!
So now we have known each other omg 5 years, been together 3, and married 7months ago!

it's good to remember how things were, had a tense evening last night (might have something to do with the in-law being up) but i feel great about him again already. (badness never lasts long!)

like Carly with our wedding and anniversary coming up, and we are writing our own vows, i have been thinking about how we met, and everything alot.

I meet my DF, when i was 15 and a half so in June 2001, i actually went to my best friends house, and as he is her cousin, he was taking his Aunty shopping as she didn't have a car, and when i was talking to his Aunty, he just stood there starring the whole time, which it REALLY annoys me when people stare at me, so i was basically giving him weird looks the whole time. But i thought he was HOT!!
About 2 days after that i actually started dating someone else, which lasted um 10 days? something like that anyway, my bestfriend told me her cousin was interested in me, and the day the other thing (i wouldn't call it a relationship or anything like that, it isn't like it got anymore serious then a kiss, which i am SOOO glad that is all that happened, even that is:barf: ) ended i told her to tell him to call me, and the exact same day he went around to her house, to get her to call me so he could speak to me.
We spoke on the phone everyday for atleast 3 hrs at a time for 2 weeks before we meet again. And then he came to my school, in which he turned up in his trackwork gear:rolleyes: and i actually made fun of him until my friend turned around and said that was him, i had no idea he was coming that day! lol
And then we arranged our first date that day, and only ever had one date!

He is sweet and romantic, and i couldn't ask for a better partner or father for my kids. Yeah we have been apart, sometimes for a month sometimes for a day.
But i still ring him like 50 times a day, get butterflys when i am going to see him when he has been away or even when he is coming home from work.

We have been together 6 years on the 23rd of June, it doesn't feel like that long and i can't wait to marry him, it hasn't all been smooth sailing far from it, but i couldn't think of anyone else i would rather go though it all with.

How he purposed?, well REALLY nothing special, he was sooo nervous and thought i was going to say no, so just asked me at my mums house when we were laying down on my bed, he just got back from buying the ring.

I met him out 4WDriving in 1999 - I was seeing his boss at the time lol

Then a few months later, I bumped into him at Kitty O'Sheas, and then we went back to his place where we talked all night. And we kissed, and that kiss changed my life - literally, it felt like the world stopped for a moment..

He proposed at sunrise on his birthday at East Point. He said he wanted to watch the sun rise for his birthday, so I agreed. When we got there he read a poem, and then popped the question! Everyone knew before me, as he'd asked my parents permission!!

Wow, time really does fly.. we're coming up to our 6th wedding anniversary in August.

I met my DP a few times but we don't really remember it. I was on a cruise for a friends birthday. I remember saying happy birthday to someone because it was their birthday too and I remember someone getting in trouble for taking the control of the boat (drunk) and trying to drive in closer to the warf (yep him) But didnt take any notice.
He sorta remembers meeting me another time because I had just got a big tatoo on my back that day and went to a friends house and everyone was looking at it.
When we met again it was at a party for some of my friends partners friends who had just got back from timor. When I met him we got along but got lots in town from each other when we all went out. When I finally met him again properly it was with Carly after the V8s in discovery and we sat with him and I hung out with him most the night. I had a crush on him after that.Then he went away for 1 month or 2 and when he got back got my number from someone and asked me to go to town with him. That was it. Together ever since really.

He took me down to dripstone cliffs with tables and chairs and a picnic dinner to watch the sunset on valentines day a few years ago to propose. Mum babysat Elora for us.He got down on one knee and asked me. I knew it was going to happen one day (we already had the ring on layby), it was a surprise that night though.He tried to get in contact with my dad to ask him, he tried for 2 weeks but Dad was overseas so he could not ask so he felt bad.
