Funny you should set up this thread! LOL only yesterday I posted in the what's going on thread with bubs gifts I got given and was actually thinking it may be a good idea to start a new thread for stuff we get! Then just came on now and you have done it! Awesome Idea!!! Must be us smart Nov mums  thinking alike!!

I will post a copy of my other post so it is in this thread:

My dad’s wife took me baby shopping on Tuesday to buy bubs some things from her & dad. ‘Some’ things is an understatement, I got so spoilt! It was soooo much fun! :smiliedance:

Here are pics of all the stuff we bought: (Looks like I had a baby shower, yet this is all from only two people! My gorgeous dad & his wife! So generous of them!! :hugs:They are so excited!!)

http://cupcake2007.wordpress.com/2007/0 ... llo-world/ (http://cupcake2007.wordpress.com/2007/06/05/hello-world/)

Was so surreal while we are shopping, often it felt like we were shopping for someone else. I am so in awe of this miracle bub, who I have always wanted to have since being a little girl, that it often doesn't feel real, and yesterday made it so real! The lounge room is full of the gifts and everything is so cute & gorgeous!!

I am so lucky, and this is one very loved and spoilt little bub! Valentine

The sling looks great  Roxy im still in shock about how much you got! Must ask where abouts did you get that "sweet dreams little bed"? Looks like a great thing to have in the car if youre at someone's house and need somewhere for bubs to sleep:thumbsup: Also roughly how much was it?

Wow, Roxy you are very lucky!!!! Makes me want to go out shopping but there's not really anything we need. I love the sweet dreams little bed too so very interested in where/how much, etc.

Lozie, the sling looks great. I'm thinking about getting one this time but I'm a bit nervous about them - they just never look that secure to me, especially the pics of bigger babies sitting up in them. Anyone have any experience or advice about brands?

we have a bubba moe sling. We had DD in it a few times when she was a newborn but loved it more when she was able to sit up in it. It's totally safe you just make sure you hook one of the sides under their bum  the first few times you still hold onto them as if the sling wasnt there but eventually you get comfortable and used to it and it is such a load off!

We got that from Baby Co. It is going to fantastic and very handy to have! :yelclap:It was $74.95 and well worth it I think. Can use it in the cot, bassinette, your bed, at friend's houses, pram, anywhere really! And it is great how it folds up for easy travel!

WOW! Roxy you got so much stuff!! I feel bad that all I have bought so far is a couple of jumpsuits! Waiting to find out the gender, then will buy some more.

Lozie I like the sling it's pretty cool.

DH and I went and had a look at some things on the weekend. Mainly because we had never been in one of those baby stores before, just to see what's out there! What a lot of stuff! You could go mad buying things! (As Roxy has shown!)

Couldn't resist!!

I love giraffe’s and being pregnant has given me an excuse (well I think so anyway LOL) to buy cute giraffe thingy’s!! The other day got a cute washer & bath towel set - white with embroidered giraffe on them each.

Today we bought these (http://www.mediamax.com/roxy76/Hosted/bubsstuff.jpg) while out on a shopping trip (not for baby stuff lol). The little bodysuit has a giraffe on front and so does bib. The PJ’s set doesn’t but is just as cute!! And they were a bargain too! All three items cost only $18.50!!

Happy Girl!! And very spoilt bubs!! :hugs:

Target are having 10-40% off Nursery, so we went and bought an Angelcare Baby Monitor with the sensor pad. We also bought a few packs of Huggies and wipes as these were 25% off.

We're going to buy a Tomme Tippee Nappy Wrapper, but called some of our friends for advice and they said it's not that good! One of them has packed theirs in the garage so if we want we can lend it if we want to go that route. They all said the scented nappy sacks instead were good and sooo much cheaper.

Have also got some pink & white gingham-check cot sheets and a cute Bonds pink striped romper suit! We aren't telling anyone we're having a girl so will have to hide the pink things away.

I think we've decided we want to go with white furniture in the nursery, now need to decide what to buy!

We're thinking of the Steelcraft Strider 4 with the bassinette attachment for a Pram. Has anyone had a thought about what Pram to get?

Oh and a question for those mummies who already have a bub or 2, what size clothes did you buy?? 0000's look so small! So, is 000 the way to go? I've noticed that the size varies from brand to brand as I've seen 0000's the same size as other 000 when I've held them up against each other! :detective:

I have nothing for bub yet :o Other than all of MJs stuff. We had a look at clothes yesterday & found some really cute outfits........but we were good :p When I get some outfits I think i'll get 0000 & 000. MJ was in 00000 as a newborn. This time though, I will keep all the reciepts.

I am getting a gorgeous pram though from a very generous bubhubber & will be picking it up later this month. A gorgeous Emmaljunga with basinette in navy & white. Its adorable. Will post pics when we get it.

DS was 7 pound and was in 0000 for a while - can't remember how long though. I would definitely have some 0000 and 000. I haven't bought any clothes yet. I've been looking a lot at pink/girly clothes and linen but I'm not game to actually buy anything just in case we end up having a boy after all (plus, we've also told everyone, including DS, that we didn't find out the sex so would have to hide everything).

We ended up buying a Love'n'Care Adiva Sport pram which is a 2 in 1 (the bassinet converts into a seat). It was a big compromise as I really wanted a reverse handle (on this one the seat is reversible but not the handle) but wasn't happy with the very limited range of reverse handle prams around.

thought this might help some of the new mums its a sizing chart for age and size of baby.

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a268/mini_smurfs/misc/targetsizes.jpg

The ave. ish size baby is about 7.5lb (3kg) my last DD was 3.4kg and only spent 2 weeks in 0000. :) so im going straight to 000. A lot of nighties singlets & 2pc shirt & shorts.

Hope it helps

MJ was 3.2kg & wasn't in 000 till she was about 6months old :p Mind you at 2, she still wears 0's & 1's. My sisters sons went straight into 000 & 00. I hope this is another small one :p

Jacob was 3.3kg but he had long legs.. (like huge frog legs..) he wore 0000 for a while but a few of them were useless as the legs were so small..
There are so many different makes and stuff between the brands even in the same size..

I will be making sure i get "big" 0000 and then move on to 000..

But im not buying anything (well maybe one or two things :p) before the birth really anyway..
Bubs can wear Jacobs stuff for the first few days (as we didnt no the sex with him either so heaps of neutral wonder suits and what not) and then i will go on a pink or blue shopping spree when i get out of hosp..

'Girly' Shopping Spree for Bubs!

As you know, I love Giraffes!! and since being pregnant, have been looking for Giraffe stuff everywhere lol & have found a few things. But today was an awesome score!!
How cute are all these!!! :smiliedance:

Giraffe Soft Toy (http://cupcake2007.files.wordpress.com/2007/07/giraffesofttoy.jpg)
Nursery Stuff (http://cupcake2007.files.wordpress.com/2007/07/giraffebookends_frame.jpg)
More Nursery Stuff (http://cupcake2007.files.wordpress.com/2007/07/giraffemoneybox_holder.jpg)
Blankie & Bibs (http://cupcake2007.files.wordpress.com/2007/07/giraffeblankie_bibs.jpg)

My faves were my accidental find - the ‘I love Mummy’ and ‘I love Daddy’ giraffe bibs!!! They are so adorable! Also got the blankie, the softest pink giraffe plus things for shelves in nursery - money box, holder, photo frame and bookends!

At B*st & L*ss today I found the biggest bargains! These items below were all $5 a piece!

Girls clothes (http://cupcake2007.files.wordpress.com/2007/07/bubspants.jpg)
More Girls Clothes (http://cupcake2007.files.wordpress.com/2007/07/girlsoutfits_11.jpg)

I got mixture of size 00, 0 & 1. They are so funky! In the second pic, the outfit on the left is Bonds. I went to a baby store afterwards and they had Bonds stuff at $15.95 a piece so I got a massive bargain huh!!

I also put a few things on Layby at T*rget sale. I was going to do more shopping after this, but ended up getting a stitch like pulling feeling really low when walking, like ligaments stretching!! Very hard to walk!! If I hold my tummy up with my hands and also once I sit down, it disappears! I got worried for a bit, but if it was anything bad, it wouldn’t stop when I sit, or when I hold my tum. Anyway, I guess the pressure of the uterus on the ligaments will happen eventually. And I am almost 5 months already! If it still have it tomorrow, will go see my Ob.

mmmmm just having a cuppa tea with a scotch finger biscuit! Delish!!

:hugs: Have a great afternoon xox

RB!! Your 2 year old is wearing stuff smaller than my 1 year old (well 16 months old).

Soph was born 4.1kg and has been big ever since - she's gonna be TALL. She's wearing size 1 and some size 2 stuff, all the 0 stuff had to go away into storage...

Apparently toddlers can go down a size when they are toilet trained. I'm looking forward to that, we go through sizes so quickly I hardly get to see her in her cute stuff.

Hi Girls, I just had to post a photo of this cute jumpsuit that my Mum bought for bubs, mainly for Roxy to see as it has Giraffes on it! On the front it says silly little giraffe and the giraffes on the front and bottom are slightly fluffy/soft material.

Went through the stuff we have bought for bubs so far, not much, but probably enough clothes so far until she is born. I want to buy some more socks though. My mum said that even though it will be warm by November, you still need to put socks on the bub, is this right?

Hey Guys,

Finally have something exciting to write in here! Yesterday DH and I went to a baby shop just to see how much we need to put aside for a new cot and so DH could see which ones he liked. DD is still in her cot but we got it second hand and it has really done its' job. Dont know if it would last out a second one plus i'm not pushing her into the bed before the baby comes so we needed a new cot. (can you tell im justifying something to myself  )

Anyway when we got there they were selling all their floor stock and ex demonstration model stock for half price  So we bought a new cot and a new mattress!

This (http://www.babyzonedirect.com.au/catalogue/c9/c300/c307/p1590) is a pic of the cot we bought but we bought it in a teak colour which matches our cradle, change table and will match the tall boy we put in there as well!

Best part is that it was DH's idea so i cant be blamed for pregnant impulse shopping :smiliedance: Its' RRP is $449 but we got it for $249! The mattress we got on sale reduced from $199 to $99 as well!! It was just fate! This is what im telling my credit card anyway

Cute outfits RB!

Went shopping on the weekend and found the pram we wanted on special at My Baby Warehouse, so we bought it!

We got the Steelcraft Strider 4 in Slate and the bassinette attachment. I have been wondering if we should have got the red one, but a couple of our friends have red prams, so wanted to be different.

http://www.britax.com.au/Websites/Business/brproddb.nsf/LUPages/Strollers-Strider%204#

Went to Kmart the other day and they have a new range of baby clothes called Hundreds & Thousands, and some of it is very cute!

Still havent' found a cot that we like. Still have a little while yet.

Love the pram in the colour slate kaybee!!!

Which my baby warehouse did you to go? I know of the one in leichardt on parramatta road and there is one on the hume highway near lansvale and have been to both. Was very impressed at the big range they have there but have to say the one at lansvale quite often has things cheaper than at leichardt. Not heaps cheaper but cheaper. Only downside is it is a very small store and kinda tucked away so unless youre looking for it you dont notice it IYKWIM.

I love the hundreds and thousands range! It is gorgeous and not that expensive!

kaybee
13-08-2007, 10:49 AM
We went to the one in Leichhardt. We really like the range of stuff they have too. There is one in Minchinbury as well, but it and the Lansvale one are a bit far for us to go to. I had actually never heard of Lansvale so had to look it up, it's out towards Cabramatta right?

The only other store near us is Babyco which is on Parra Rd in Burwood. It's a small store and doesn't have much stock. I wish there was a Babies Galore nearby.

Yeh, I am resisting the temptation to buy some of the hundred's and thousands stuff! DH found a pink singlet top that says " I *heart* Mummy". They also have a cute marle grey jumpsuit with a pink heart on the front, sooo cute. I dropped some hints to my Mum about them so she might buy a few things!

Kizmet
13-08-2007, 11:19 AM
sort of out towards cabramatta. Definately out in that direction. You know woodville road? The big mecano set where woodville and the hum cross? It is literally about 2 mins drive past that:thumbsup:

If only we all won powerball hey! I would buy soooooo much!

we picked the cot and change table the other day and it is now up in the nursery and love love love it!! :smiliedance: the cot also turns to toddler bed. It is the Kingparrot Alice cot - same company that makes Boori, but way cheaper and still really nice & top quality!! We got cot, change table and innerspring mattress for $600 plus as we spent over $500 at baby bunting, we got an extra 5% off! so was awesome deal!

Great paintings Shana!

Went and picked up pram & bassinette on Sunday and found a cot we really liked on sale so we bought it! Yay! Feeling like we are a bit more organised! It came with a change table top, so we are now on the look out for a plain white chest of drawers that we will put it on. (the cot & top are white)

Haven't set anything up yet, but when we do, I will post some pics.

Have been working on crocheting a rug for bubs, but realised I'm going to run out of one of the colours that I'm using. I've had it for ages, so I can't find it anymore! I may have to find a specifc wool/craft shop. I know there is one in the city... mmm

One day when I finish it (ha ha) I will post a pic too.
