cleaning the kitchen....

Is it just me, or does anyone else find their kitchen to be the one room in the house that they are always cleaning? Lounge and dining are usually easy, I do them just before I go to bed, bathrooms are done once a week. But the kitchen, I think I clean it about 3 times a day, otherwise it just looks awful

Yup, with a family of 4 kids, i think i spend about half my life in the kitchen, either cleaning it or making more mess to clean again!:rolleyes:
As soon as i clean it up, i have to make lunch, or someone wants a snack, or a drink, or a little person tries to help themselves to a yoghurt, and it ends up all over the floor.........
So i sure do know where you are coming from :)

Yep me too, cant stand washing the dishes (still no dishwasher lol) and I hate cooking but DH loves to cook so makes twice as much mess as a women would LOL :rolleyes:

I shouldnt complain too much as Im typing this DH is vacuming the lounge room!!!! Good Boy:)

Yep it takes about all of 2mins after i wash all the dishes put things away & clean the benches down for it to all be back to what it was like before i started !!!!
Drives me nuts !!!!!
But i cant complain on the cooking front as my partner now does that but i agree with orlandosmum they make more mess than us !!!!! So i havent figured out whether its worth having him cook IYKWIM heh.
Wish i could get him to vacuum for me but i doubt that will happen anytime soon !

The kitchen is the worst around here, even with a dishwasher! But I find my house can turn into a pigsty in mere hours if the kids are having a really good play :eek: I'll clean the kitchen before anything else though because as everyone else has mentioned you need to use that space over and over.

Ally, I didnt even ask him to vacum! FIL called and said he was popping around later today so DH got it out and did the whole house :D Good boy!

Yep I find myself constantly in the kitchen until df goes to work then it usually stays clean until dinner time. I usually load any dirty dishes straight into the dishwasher straight away. Lucky that there's only me and the kids for dinner otherwise it's an absolute mess 'cause df tends to spread things out all over the benches when he cooks lol.
First thing after breakfast i clean the kitchen and because it's pretty small it always looks messy.:rolleyes:

Yes, I have found the kitchen to be the room that requires the most cleaning, especially now that I am a sahm - every meal (&snack) is eaten at home, so it is the most used room of the house!

Dishwasher is the best - picture this - tons of dirty plates, cups, cutlery lying around - 30seconds and all has disappeared! I still hand wash bottles and the kids cups, so the dishrack is always full and I am constantly wiping down benches and sweeping up crumbs!

The kitchen is bad, but I also dislike cleaning the bathroom.

I started to feel better about it once I realised that I'm not actually cleaning these rooms to keep them clean. (why then you ask :confused: )

I'm cleaning them so they don't get too dirty LOL:D
