Hello
I am new to this forum so apologise if this question has already been asked.
I have an 8 week old DD who will soon have to move up to the next nappy size from new born size. I am currently using Huggies but was wondering which brands people have found best. Can anyone tell me if they prefer Babylove brand to Huggies? I have also noticed Babylove dont seem to have gender specific nappies. Does this make a difference to leakage etc?
Hoping that someone can assist me with this question.
Thanks
Hi Cheeky Little Monkey
Welcome to Bubhub
I have found Huggies to be the best nappies and Baby Love to be the worst. BL seem to lose a lot of the crystals that soak up the wetness and leak a lot. (this is just my experience)
Snugglers are ok IMO.. but I have been a keen Huggies user ever since the time we had a massive smelly blowout at the shops and I didn't have a spare change of clothes. (that was with Snugglers) I have never had a blowout with Huggies.. and I now *always* take a spare change of clothes with me. (see, live it, learn it :) )
All this is just my experience though, and I know Huggies are generally the more expensive brand, but for me they are worth it. I usually get them when they are on special, 'stock up' so to speak.
Good luck and enjoy the forums.

Hi,
After trying quite a few brands I have found the woolworths brand nappies to be the best, they are also cheep. Huggies are great although get a little expensive, believe it or not, homebrand and the coles brand as well as the ones you can get from 'the warehouse' store are also excellent but Id definatly try the new Woolworths ones they come in a big box of over 40 for almost $20 and there great , although my bubs a little older and i havnt used the smaller sizes, id still recommend giving them a try.
Good luck :)

I do huggies at night & snugglers in the daytime(for ds). Though i've heard that snugglers aren't that great on girls.... Might have to find an alternative for Ella when she gets bigger...
We use Huggies at night and either Baby Love or Snugglers during the day. I used to get the crystals with the Baby Love when he had the smallest size, but now he is in the 5-11kg size and I don't think I've seen any.
With the Snugglers we had an old box left over from someone else (they were plain white - no pictures on the top of the nappy) and they were great!! I recently bought a new pack (with the pink & blue rabbits on them) and they don't seem to be as good. Still OK for the price.
I don't like the Target ones! Take my advice and don't get them.
A lot of people have recommended the BiLo ones for during the day, I haven't tried them as we don't have a BiLo near us. (But, you would think that with 3 of my Bros working at 3 diff BiLo's that one of them would have got me a pack to try. )
Snuggler seem to be absolute rubbish now ... they have gone downhill in the 2 years since I first bought them.
I really like the Woolworths Homebrand nappies, although they seem to have a bit of a supply problem around here at the moment. The coles nappies aren't too bad either, although something in them irritates my little man so ... Woolworths ... when are you going to get your act together???? I am waiting for a reply to my enquiry!

I love the huggies but I also use the babylove and haven't had a problem... I have had leaks in both the babylove and huggies... To me the huggies are a bit softer and seem to be a bit more comfortable... The Aldi nappies are also OK...
Here is another thread for a few more opinions for you:

I currently use BabyLove and have found them to be ok. Huggies I have always found to be the best, but we are budgeting at the moment.:)

I prefer huggies to anything else really we tried babylove when lucas was born and that lasted about 2 days and then we got the huggies and found them to be better.
