Well, i found out on Monday that i will not be having my VBAC that i wished for.:gloomy:
My scan showed Bubs was already on the big side and my ob is worried that i would need another emergancy c.sec like with Ds.

I was so upset over this for days. But i am now starting to realise that i will be holding my precious little(well big) bubba in my arms nice and safe next week.

I still feel a sence of loss and sadness, but i know i will be ok once bubs is here..

Keep up all the good work ladies. You have been a great help and i have admired you all who have been such strength to many of us.
Thanks again..:hugs:

:hugs: I am sure it will be the last thing on your mind when you hold your baby in your arms as long as bubs is safe and you are then thats the main thing

Good luck

:hugs: to you.

I am sure once bub is in your arms you won't really care about how he or she arrived.

Good luck with your birth;)

:hugs: to you, enjoy your new bundle when he/she arrives....

BUT did you know that scans in late pregnancy are notoriously innaccurate? As in half a kilo to a kilo out at times?
Stick up for yourself and follow your heart ;)

Most important thing is that baby will be healthy and you will be healthy.
I've just realised that I too, won't be attempting a VBA2C and although it was disappointing, I'm just not focusing on how baby arrives...like punkbaby said, it will be the last thing on my mind when I'm holding him/her.

Well, as long as you are comfortable with the decision, then everything is great. Your baby will be here so soon!

:crying: Hi there, just to give you some support, I am now home after my little precious son was born on Monday after going in for a code red emergency c-section, the umbilical cord was wrapped around my son's neck twice, very loosely I might add, the midwives and senior Dr's had realised that there was something really wring, I had a VBAC with my first son,.... I was too just like you a bit disappointed but the main thing is that I got to hold my precious little bundle of joy and he is healthy now,... I have 2 healthy little boys that I am proud of,.. I found it very hard to breastfeed but again I think that it's best for my son to be as settled with sleeping and eating as well as what I would like them too,... Think of the benefits of being able to hold them after everything before getting yourself down in the dumps on what would or could have happened,... I hope this helps.

Hi,

I totally agree with Phineas. I had a scan at 33wks with my first and they told me it looked like she would be about 7lb 8oz, then my Dr told me "steer clear of the greasy foods, this baby is set to be at least 8lb" and it kept going up from there and she was born 6lb 3oz.

Go with your VBAC! You may still end up having a C/S but at least you've tried. The statistics are in your favour as repeat C/S can cause just as much harm as a VBAC. Women have had larger babies in VBAC than first babies and had no complications. The risk is there however, I would still be in favour of VBAC.

Check oiut this site and read some of the stories and research stuff, hopefully it helps?
