Greetings everyone.

i have purchased one of the tea tree snuggle beds from babyco for our baby thats due on june 2.

i am going to make the bed up like a normal bed with a sheet etc but was wondering if anyone has had any experiences with these beds at all. What has since occurred to me after buying it is what happens to it if it gets wet or the baby vomits on it etc... Is it washable.. or should I use some sort of protector or something?????????
If anyone could let me know I would be greatly appreciated.

Hi!

I have a snuggle bed but mine came with a removable cover. I also placed a blanket inside as well. It was fantastic whilst my little girl was little (she is 5 months old now and too big for it!). Try the baby stores to see if they have the covers seperately!

whats a snuggle bed? i was given a really old bassinett and i used that for no joke only 3 weeks then i had to put her in the cot, she grew so quick and didnt look so little anymore. but i do say its easier to change the sheets in the small bassinett then it is to change in the cot.

Hi there

I used a tetra snuggle bed inside both of my bub's cots until they were about 4 months old. I found they both slept better as they were effectively contained in something bulky but airy. I used to put a nappy between the cover and the bed itself to stop any dribbles getting through.

I have read that if the bed becomes soiled, then you should use a damp cloth and hold the material away from the stuffing while patting to remove the stain. If you don't hold the material away and it comes in contact with the tea tree flakes then it will stain.

Cheers,

Our snuggle bed has a removable cover. I put a towelling nappy in betwwen that & the actual bed. Snuggle beds are brilliant - my only problem has been weaning my 7 1/2 month old off it and onto the horrible hard cot mattress. So far we have chopped off the top & bottom cos she is so long, the sides will be next so she is just sleeping on the padded base bit. Then hopefully we can get rid of it. Of course, if you are planning to use it for any other bubs this wouldn't be an option!!

The other fantastic thing is that we take it when we go away with us - doesn;t matter where she is, she thinks she's in her own bed.

Thanks guys for your replies.. I was starting to think no one used these snuggle beds and that maybe they weren't such a good idea...

I now have 8 weeks to go and think I have almost everything now for when she comes home !!!!!

One question though.. when making the bed up inside the cot do you put it at the end of the cot and then tuck the sheet into the actual cot mattress or do you just put the sheet and blanket over the snuggle bed..???
