Ok so after going to one bridal shop on the weekend I have been told i need to get my bum into gear and find something soon as it could take a couple of months to order in my dress. I have been trying to do some research online so I have an idea of what I want and the designer. I didnt realise choosing a dress would be soooo hard! Especially when the bridal shops dont stock the ones you want to try on or they are not in your size :banghead:
So I am just wondering if anyone knows of any bridal gown websites for the designers? The ones I have looked at so far are:
Wendy Makin/Bella Donna
Peter Trends
Jean Fox
HELP!!!!

Can't help with designers Meg. But if you are on the northside there is a bridal shop in Gungahlin that has just opened (think in the last couple of days cause I'm sure it wasn't there last week!) New shops are popping up everywhere around there lately - heaps cool.

Thanks whatwasithinking :)
I actually went in there over the weekend and had a quick look. There was nothing in store that suited my taste...they were all big princess dresses...and im more of a simple girl. Im trying not to stress and am going to do a thorough bridal shop drive around over the weekend and have my fingers crossed that I will find something 'perfect' that i can order in on time.
Thanks for the heads up though :)

Have you thought about having a custom made one?? I couldn't find anything I liked everything was strapless and I was a bit over that look. So I hade a awesome couture dress made and it cost less than buying a designer one..... and it was exactly what I wanted

We're getting married in September and I've found my dress already:) .It's not a designer gown but it is custom made. The site is www.the bridalcloset.com.au .It's a mother and daughter team with around 25yrs experience.Heaps of dresses to choose from and great prices.I think the most expensive was $450.00.You just choose the gown email them your measurements(they send you a guide) choose the colour(heaps of options) and they make it just for you. Best of luck in the bridal gown hunt.mlfm Deb

Well I found a dress and am happy with my choice :) Will arrive late September...just enough time to get it fitted before we leave. Its a slinky, figure hugging white dress with a low back and I cant wait for DP to see me in it Valentine
Thanks for all of your help! :yelclap:

as i have a lot of formal dinners coming up in the next few years i am buying a simple 2 piece bridesmaids dress but in white.

i am going to go back later and order a few extras in different colours so i can mix and match.
