Have I done the right thing?
I put them in cold water after I had used them and then I chucked them into the washing machine.
They unfortunately got spun though, so a few of them... the hemp/bamboo etc inside has bunched up a little... how do I fix this?
Also a few of them, one white, one yellow... there has been a stain left on them... how do I get this out?
This is my first time ever using them!
have you got a front or top loader? If it's a top loader then maybe doing them on gentle would be best. I've never had any troubles with our front loader and I do them on just a normal wash. Maybe even put them in a delicates bag.
Any staining should go away after line drying. Sun is wonderful for removing stains. And don't worry if it's not a sunny day, it's the UV rays that does the job and they'll be there even if it's an overcast day. If it's still there a bit it will gradually go. If you're worried about staining then look at pads with darker/patterned fabrics.
You've pretty much done the right thing though:)

 Thanks for the advice!
Top loader. Oh yes! I did read that about the sun... hopefully it isnt raining again tomorrow. They are just inside on the fold-out line atm as it is raining.
Lovely - thanks Gremily! :D

Just hold them at one end and give them a shake;) The bamboo should fall back into place.
I've never had any problems with the hemp or bamboo bunching up - I guess it depends on how they are made. That's how I was them!
