I was just wondering how long your baby slept at 10 weeks. My DD is sleeping for 12 hours. I try to wake her up for a feed but she doesn't want to and i have even tried giving her a dream feed but doesn't take to it. Should i be trying harder to wake her for a feed or shall i just leave her sleep??

I agree lol

My dd is 12 weeks and has been sleeping 10-12hrs a night consistently from about 4wks of age

I just notice she feeds more often during the day
2-3hrly so she gets heaps of milk and then has a mammoth sleep at night......love love love it:yes:

nup don't wake her up just leave her.. my dd is now starting to miss her 10pm feeds and is feeding about 9pm and will wake up at 7am next morning...
if she doesn't want her feed it means she is full and quite happy to sleep

u have a good bubba!.. mine started sleeping through 9 weeks so its good urs is same too!:smiliedance:

I think Hayley was sleeping about 12 hours at night though she had a dream feed at about 11pm. Let her sleep.

DD slept MANY MANY hours when she was little and still does. Relish the fact that your baby sleeps long-hours... some mothers are still trying to get their 2 year olds to sleep through... so we're very lucky.

Don't wake her... she'll wake up if she wants something...

Definately let her sleep! She will wake if she is hungry.

As long as she is gaining appropriate weight for her age, let her sleep. You are so lucky!

You are so, SO, lucky! DD is almost 1 and has never slept through.

Let your bub sleep. Just make sure she is feeding often enough during the day. And enjoy your good night's sleep!

Hi everyone,

How many of all these sleeping babies are breast fed? My baby is breastfed and only sleeps a max of 5 - 6hrs straight, (usually from 8pm to 1am-2am) then will wake for a feed & sometimes a play!! then sleep another 2 or 3 then wake up around 6am - 7am and then he is awake for the day.
He will usually stay awake for 2 hours then nap for 45mins to an hour and this will repeat all day till around 8pm when he goes down for the night. He is also 10 weeks old. So im just wondering are these babies on formula or breast?

never wake a sleeping baby:no: :D

The best advice to give a parent LOL!

We were lucky to get about 4 hours sleep a night when DS was that age.

Yep I agree with the Never wake a sleeping baby comment.

My DS slept thru around that time too and it was great!

Your baby will wake if hungry and also you may find have more bottles to compensate during the day if she needs it.

Enjoy your sleep!!!

Hayley was breast feed for 8 weeks and when I started giving her formula she started sleeping longer...

Enjoy the sleep! DO NOT WAKE HER! Unless she is losing weight, let her dictate when she feeds. From memory Josh was only having 4 feeds a day at 10 weeks ... it was heaven! He's well and truly back to 6 - 7 feeds a day now (he's exclusively bf).

Sleeping through is defined as 5 hours. Babies tend to have a feed between 8pm and 11pm and again between 12 and 3am. At some age they drop one or both of these feeds. BUT, not all babies do and some drop them only for a short time. Josh was sleeping through for weeks, then something happened (don't know what) and he decided to wake up again. So, we're back to feeds at any time overnight (it was 3am and 6am today).

I agree with all the PPs! Enjoy the sleeping thru and get some rest yourself - my DS slept thru from 7 wks til about 18wks old. Now he's up anywhere from 1-3 times a night! (I mistakenly thought once they slept thru then they kept sleeping thru - I got a rude shock when he started waking again).

Yep - definitely leave her & enjoy and rest up while it lasts. I hope for you that it is but it may not be permanent!
