I have been treated for GAD and depression for the last 2 years and am expecting my first child in late September. The hospital referred me to the psychiatrist (who I've seen once so far) at their Mother Baby Unit to see pre and post partum- I'm wondering if anyone else has used this sort of service and what your experiences have been.
I go to a place called the Family Care Cottage. You get pre and postnatal counselling and they helpyou with feeding, settling, behaviour etc. It is not a live in one. Is this what you mean?
So far I have found it to be good. Only thing is my counsellor changed and I am not as happy with her as I was with the previous one. I see the psych and she is very good.
If you have any further questions let me know:)

Thanks mum2my4, the one where I am attending I am seeing a psychiatrist but it is not a live in one either. Apparently they can refer if needed to a live-in. I am just interested to know what people's thoughts and experiences are who have used these services.
I have been going to mine for just over two years and in that time fell pregnant and was very anxious about the pregnancy and I would not have got through it without the support from them. They were excellent. Mine has had a lot of staff changes recently so I am feeling a bit unsettled.
Apart from that I have nothing but praise for places like this. Good luck with your pregnancy.
