I think they get 2. 1 is for measles mumps rubella. The other is another booster for tetanus diptheria whooping cough and polio. My son will be due soon he will be 4 this week.

according to my panadol magnet .. the 4 year immunisations are
- diptheria tetanus whooping cough
-Measles Mumps Rubella (MMR)
- Polio

I guess it depends on what kind of vaxer you are- whether you need to get it or not .. some hubber will say yes .. some say no..

I personally will be.. when the time comes .. :)

well, its not like the MMR can give him autism again so is there any other reasons not to get it?

My big boy is due to get the 4 year old needles.
I am still in doubt so probably will object at this time.

My DD was due for hers in February. My GP said I can I can hold out till the end of the year cause then their arms are a little bit fatter and it might not hurt as much.

I just remembered my DS was due for his 18 month ones 2 weeks ago. Thanks for the reminder, will do them this week.

Or maybe I should get both kids done at the same time?

I have just been reading about the Rubella and how the disease is not really a danger, the vaccine of course may present a risk.

I guess its a matter of weighing up the risks and whether you think its worth having the vaccine.

I am still very weary of vaccines and how beneficial they really are.
Some say its safer for a child to have mild cases of these diseases (Measles Mumps and Rubella) as children rather than getting it as grown ups.
I had chicken pox as a child and though not pleasant I do believe its harder to deal with as you get older.
My children haven't had chicken pox. :o

It is a hard decision imo.
