Who have you told?

I have just told my mum that we are preg. She lives interstate and i was going to wait till we were 12 weeks but i got too excited and couldnt wait. She is soooooo excited and i know she will be so glad we shared the news so early on with her. Dad, well he was very shocked and worried that it makes him feel old, men....so silly.

So just wondering if you have all told your parents or anyone yet? Do most people wait till 12 weeks?

I have told my Mum and brother, my in-laws and my close friends. I was so excited as soon as I found out I couldn't help myself. I can understand why the doctors say to wait in the event of a mc but it is hard

I am sort of torn between wanting to tell everyone and waiting until we are in the clear. Same for other things like OB, appointments, hospitals and names etc. I don't want to get too ahead of myself but can't stop thinking about 'my little baby'. Just wish I could speed ahead a few months.

Hi I have told everyone important and close to us. I was due to go to hospital the week after we found out and couldn't go so we told people. We thought if anything happened then that they would understand.

we told our parents as soon as we fount out...we told my brothers the following week, and have told our close friends this weekend...we have pretty close knit family and friends so it wont be long till everyone knows...

part of me feels we should have waited till it was a bit further along but we just couldnt!

fingers crossed nothing goes wrong, and if it does we'll just let people know

I told alot of immediate family and friends as soon as i found out. At around 4-5weeks.

I voted for more people at 10-15weeks because thats when I plan on telling my DS:D

We have told my parents, a brother, my boss and my friends - DP is so much better at keeping secrets! I was put on a "tell-one-person-a-day" limit - blown out of the water in the first week!
Cantwait- DPs family is really close knit too - we figure we will head out to see them (they all live in the same town) and tell them on the same day or else it would leak out otherwise!!
EskimoMama - we plan on telling M at around 4months as well - shes too young to grasp the concept of how long 5 months is, so for her, even that will seem like an eternity!

my mother already had the instinct that i was pregnant the weekend before i found out... so i told her straight away, and my sister... than i told DH... as i wasnt going to tell him as he is away on a course with work and didn't want him stressing out.. but he kept asking so i told him. But what i was going to do is send him a pair of booties but don't need to now.

I told mum the day after i had it confirmed by the Doc. DH told his entire Family the day before i had it confirmed by the Doc. DH is telling Anyone who will listen. The rest of my family i'm not going to tell until 12 weeks. I was going to tell them at 8 weeks, but that was when my sis would have been having her baby that she miscarried and have since stopped ttc.

We told our parents at just over 7 weeks after I had an u/s... We have told a few people at work (only the ones that really need to know) and a couple of friends... Going to wait until 12 weeks to tell everyone...

With my 2nd pregnancy, we told everyone at 7 weeks (xmas day) and then went on to m/c... This time, I want to do it like we did with DS, and not jinx ourselves...

Haven't told Dad yet - he lives WITH us... :o You'd think he would have been first to know!!

Haven't told the in-laws yet either - DF wants to wait until I return to work - to save the whole "I told you she'd fall pregnant so she didn't have to go back to work" speaches...

I want to shout it from the rooftops but can't... I need to find out work's policies on falling before you return before I tell them, hope I don't pop out before 12 weeks!!

Want to shout it out at netball but can't, Dad plays in our team on Thursday nights and the finals are in 2 weeks... I don't like to use pregnancy to my advantage on the court, it's my choice to be there and I run the risk of anything happening IF it was to happen - I played 'til 20 weeks with DD with no problems, only to 12 this time as there is no point starting a new season only to have to replace myself in a few weeks!!

Would have LOVED to have been "allowed" to say something last weekend when we were moving as to why I wasn't helping...

my brother in law was staying with us and was the first one to know as i'd gone from being a champagne enthusiast to a teetotaller overnight! :o

told my parents, sisters, close friends and inlaws at 7 weeks. so exciting to tell people but also miss it being our little secret.

We Told my Mum and Dad as soon as it was confirmed, but are wating till 13 weeks and the results of the scan before we tell anyone else.

My Family is ver small only 6 of us including nephews, but DH's is huge there is 20 of them so we thought it was best to wait to tell them all.

We have been busted by DH's best mate and his wife as I have stopped having drinks with them when we go out, bit of a give away really...

I can't wait though only 3 weeks to go...
