Hi

I have just found this forum and think we are very much into this type of parenting without realising it!!

I love the term Babywearing too, new to me!

I carry Amelia alot, sleep with her, breast feed her lots...also to sleep and enjoy our time together so much and we always have.

I find it all very natural, especiallythe co sleeping which can be so judged..but why fight it, loose sleep and be stressed!

Lately I have been using my carrier...like a Baby bjorn one ...sturdy, front and back only type. She is 8 mths old and I wondered if any of you thought she may be too big to gat used to one of the slings I see in all the piccies here. I wish I had got one from the start actually.

I hope to chat more and it`s a great place for support when you need to get away from those who don`t understand me!!

I bought an Ergo when my bub was over a year and slings not long before, so I don't think 8 months it too old! :)

Hey Helen,
You need to think about how you would like to wear bub most- would you like to wear her on your front - on your hip, or on your back?
Personally I found around 8 months, I started to feel much more comfy wearing her on my hip, so I bought a ring sling/ I love it and it was only $35 - there is one the same available on Wahmania at the moment I think.
I know you are interested in the BubbaMoe and HAB the most. As everyone says the HAB is just divine, but I think it's best for wearing on the front, and Amelia may be getting a bit old for you to be wearing her like that all the time. BUT bub is almost one, and I still find it's the best way to wear her when she's tired, she snuggles into my chest. If you were going to have another bub soon, def worth it, if not... meh, I don't know...
I just got an Ergo to wear on my back, it's great, but at the moment at her age I think I still prefer to wear her on my front or hip.
I would recommend a ring sling. BubbaMoes you can also wear on your side - I don't find them that comfy that way but everyone is different and you might like it. There is a shop in Maitland that sells them and you can try them out in the store to get a feel for it, or as I said before you are welcome to try out my selection of slings and carriers!
Good luck in finding the best way to wear her!
xx
