Numb Bum

I had a caesarean on Monday (6 days ago) and the anethetist had a lot of problems putting in my epidural. For the first day or two my back was bruised black and blue from the epidural, and my backside was numb. 6 days on and my backside is STILL numb..

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this? :detective:

i have exactly the same except i am now 3 weeks post c-section and feeling is coming back but just very slowly almost feels like i have pins and needles constantly now

I did - they said that it would wear off eventually... I didnt realise that 'eventually' could possibly be 3 weeks :confused:

Actually, it could be a lot longer than 3 weeks. I had a numb spot on my butt for ages. I can't recall when it went away, but I definitely know it was still there at my 6 week check up. I'd say it could even have been close to 3 months before it went away.

I think my butt was "back to normal" after about 2 months - didn't notice it that much - but OB said that numbness could be felt for a few months after.
