From cradle to cot

Hey ladies (and guys)

My dd is starting to get to big for her cradle, but she wont go to sleep in her cot.

How to you get a baby to sleep in a cot after they have been sleeping in a cradle or bassinet? Any ideas???

With DD1 she went straight into a big cot from about 2 weeks so i didn't have that problem...but with DD2, she was in one of those portable carry bed things, which i put inside her cot for a couple of days so she got used to seeing the bars of the cot while still in her own bed so to speak. I had no troubles with this, but if you have bubs in a proper cradle i can't help....sorry.....:o

Not sure if this is any help but I put my 4 week old in a cot sometimes during the day to sleep with a anti-roll pillow and music, he will sleep awhile there but then I use the bassinette for his night sleeps as have it next to my bed. Maybe alternating will get your baby used to the cot making it a easier transistion?:)

Not sure if this helps but maybe try have the daytime sleeps in his cot and nightime in his bassinet, until he get comfortable with the cot... I had DS in his bassinet at night and in the cot during the day, so the transition to sleeping in the cot at night was OK... He would only go into the bassinet when I was ready to go to bed, then I would take him with me...
