My baby is 5 weeks old and he vomits after every feed. I keep him upright for half an hour afterwards but as soon as I move him to put him in his bed it just rolls out of him. It doesn't seem to distress him too much although sometimes he'll be screaming, arching his back and throwing himself around and then he'll burp and sometimes vomit and then he's all good again. And the vomiting is not always just after feeds, it can happen at intervals all the way up to his next feed. If there's no milk left in his stomach he'll bring up bile. I haven't seen the dr about him because he really doesn't seem to be in that much distress about it. Is this reflux, or could it maybe be colic or just plain old wind? He was 5 weeks early and he still has immature stomach and the health nurse said it might resolve itself. Anyone got any ideas?
take him to the doctor even if its nothing its best to check he may get dehydrated otherwise lots of :hugs: hope things get beter soon
hey
i would take him to the dr as it may verry well be reflux and he may need medication to stop it getting worse, but there are also other things that cause vomiting at that age and its always a good idea to have them checked over

First off any kind of vomiting is reflux, it is a loose lower esophegeal sphincter, but whether it is a problem or not can remain to be seen. There are many, many children that have reflux and are classified as happy spitters, that don't require medication and in time the spitting decreases. I hope this is your son.
The vomiting itself does not bring up any red flashing lights (unless it is true projectile) but the bringing up bile is more concerning, I would definately bring this one up at the doctors.
