Well since its only a few short weeks until we start having out 18-20 week scans and possibly finding out the gender of some of these November bubs i thought i would start a list..

Our guesses on what we are having and then once you have your scan you can update it if you find out the sex..

We didn't get given a percentage. We had DS with us and didn't want him to find out so she just gestured and looked very pointedly at the pink towel on my stomach to let me know.

RB: I was exactly like you. Gut feeling was a boy but kept on dreaming of having a girl. In fact my whole family kept on dreaming of girls (well my side of the family anyway). Go with what your gut is telling you....

So we had our scan today and bubba was tucked up nice and tight down the bottom of my uterus! Didn't want to move to much so we still dont know the sex~! :no:
I am really hanging to find out though.. Do they let you go back for another scan if you choose to??
With DD we saw at this scan so never really even thought about the fact that they might not be able to tell yet... Good luck to everyone else with scans coming up!

I brought back the colours! They can't be 100% (only 80%) sure but the sonographer said girl! I was right! She asked one of the doctors to come in and check and she said Definately a girl!

Sasa - i imagine if you get another referral from yor Dr you can have another. Maybe wait a couple of weeks as the mroe mature the baby is the better the pictures will be! Good luck!

We had our 20 week scan yesterday.
Apparently Mace has had a gender switch.

After very good spread Eagle shots from 3 different angles. we have been told to expect a baby Girl!!!!!!!!!! ( I am still in shock!!!!)

I am wonderign too Kismet, Ive just started a general thread to check what people who have "done this" before think! She seemed very very sure. She pointed out the three white stripes, and showed us from all three angles front, back and top that there were no dangly bits! They were being thorough because of the earlier Downs risk.. so Hmmm.. She also said girls often look like boys at 14 weeks (which is when we got our original result) So I am not sure at all! (but She sure seemed to be!)

It is true that all bits start looking like boys bits early on then change..
Which could have caused the confusion.. 14 weeks is very early and usually they wont make a guess till at least 16 weeks but more like 18-20 weeks..

It must be a shock as you have spent the last 6 weeks thinking it was a boy.. But im sure a little girl will be just as precious to you both..

Perhaps you could organise a scan in another 4-6 weeks to help set your mind at ease and give you a definate answer..

They pointed out the lines on her pelvis too, when she was looking and bub had her legs wide open. If the first scan was so early maybe it was wrong! I think I'd be more likely to believe the 20 week one!

We have brought heaps of blue stuff for Mason! (we were so sure he was a boy!) Ive been lookign at the DVD that was done at 14 weeks and he looked once at poor veiw, This 20 week one was 3 times at every veiw. So am starting to (sort of) belive he really might be pink. I must admit, I kept saying to Chris "they are going to tell us he is a girl" so it was very freaky when she did.

I know I'll love whatever "pops" out! but still in shock!!!

We have NO girls names!! I am so wanting to stick with Mason, but not sure it works for a lil girl :o

Can understand the kicking!!! Mace is a shocker for avoiding Dad too!!

My 3D scan at 12 weeks showed what looked like little boys bits, but I never really felt like it was a boy so was waiting on the 18 week scan to find out! DF was the only one that thought Boy.

Woot woot........ little girls have the cutest little clothes out at the moment.

I had bought a few blue items...... Just because I couldnt help myself.... Im packaging them up to use as gifts as heaps of my friends are pregnant at the moment and im sure one is having a boy so its a handy way to build up baby gifts! Or you could just hold on to it for masons brother :) !

Wow! What a shock. I can't imagine, being told that I was having one gender and then being told later on that it was different. You really do start to visualise them as soon as you know. I do know of other people that have been told they were having a particular gender and then at birth it was different! I guess the most important thing is that in a few months you will have a tiny baby that you will love no matter what!I would probably be more inclined to believe the results of the later scan. We had a scan at 14 weeks and we (ourselves) thought it was a boy, but we just had our 20 week scan and it is very clearly a little girl.

Ok, shock of all shocks . . . . . it's NOT a boy!

It's a GIRL!!!!!

When the tech told me I was dumbfounded. I was rediculously sure it was a boy and wanted one too! I shed a tear (just the one). . . and while I'm not dissapointed to be having a lovely girly bub, I had foolishly gotten a little attached to having boy. But I immediately went out and bought a couple of sweet pink bodysuits to get with the vibe!
I have a lovely name at the top of my girls list . . Xavia.
Dh actually thougth a girl would be better than a boy (as he was an absolute ratbag as a child), so he got his wish.
Still getting my head around it. I'm so glad I know though. So much for 'mothers intuition'!
