I have managed to pick up some awful gastric bug and have been bed bound for 3 days. The shipping company are due here on Monday morning and I asm not close to being ready and still feel ill.
My husband can't help as he is currently in Melbourne awaiting his connection to Hobart, my mum has been great looking after the boys for me, I don't know what I will do without her!
On top of all that my older boys, especially the oldest are getting very anxious about the forth coming move and it breaks my heary knowing we are taking them away from their friends, their home, their pets and their grandparents, ?It is such a massive thing for them and although it is exciting, until they get to Tas they will not see that.
And just to make me feel even more fed up and mad I cannot get my Avatar to work!!!!!!
I am just off to sleep now so will hopefully wake up feeling refreshed!!

Hi Lynda
Hope that bug clears up by tomorrow!
Moving is a hard thing that is for sure, try to get the children into a routine that is much similiar to what they have now, quickly once you are down here. I find that helps.

ty Kristy for the reply.
Fortunately the bug has all cleared up now, at one point I felt so ill I felt I must be pregnant as I onloy feel that sick for such long times when I am pregnant! Just as I was getting into panic mode mother nature stepped in to let me know that all was well - I have never been so relieved to see my monthly visitor and at the same time also strangely disappointed - weird!)
Yesterday and today the shippers have been here and all our bits have now been packed and next week they will be on a cargo ship destined for Hobart - it is so hard to believe!
Everything went smootly but we did find that the car keys were lost, last seen in they hands of my youngest. The worry was that he had posted them in a box somewhere so at the warehouse the shippers had to unpack a few boxes but to no avail!
Fortunatley I have just found them stashed inside an old cassette player - geez thanks Toby!!!
I have a hufe sense of relief now as there is not much more i can do now other than wait. I have a lot of decorating to do here as we were in teh middle of renovating when we found out we ahd to relocate - it is actually going to be much easier to do this now half of the furniture is gone!
I hope all is well with you

Lynda, glad to hear that you're on the mend and that moving plans are back on track. I know what it's like with the whole redecorating/renovating etc. We've lived in our house for 3 years now & slowly we were painting each room, starting with the bedrooms. Finally, 2 weeks before I was due, hubby got the "urge" and hired a painter to paint the core of the house (hall, kitchen, lounge, dining etc) so I had to take the two girls and stay with my grandmother for a few days! Very tricky with furniture everywhere!
Next on the list is re-carpeting....back to my grandmothers....!

Hi Anna,
i thought it was meant to be the wommen that got the urge to 'nest' not the men....lol
I think the house will just about be stright when we leave adn what is the betting we will love tassie so much we will decide not to come back so we will never get to live in the house fully decorated! We have been here for 8 years and lived in a mess for most of that time!
I have had a lazy day today as the stress of having the packers here over the last few days and making sure everything that was meant to go did go. Tomorrow afternoon the decorating begins!
Thanks for the reply
