Donation Swap?

Hi Just wondering if anyone has thought about or tried a donation swap? ie Where one couple with an egg problem, donates sperm, and the other couple with a sperm problem, donates eggs...? Any thoughts on that idea? Any experience with it?

As far as I am aware there are too many ethical issues for this to be possible.

For instance is 1 couple concieved and the other didn't it could creat a great deal of conflict among the couples.

Hi, actually we asked our fertility clinic if this was possible as we were quite keen to explore this as an option. It has not be done before, at least not in WA so our clinic have taken it to the ethics committee. Although they havent made a decision yet it seems that it will not be approved as there are issues with the fact that people will "jump the queue" if they agree to a swap.
