my labour was pretty good.
i was due to have jake on the 13th july but he came into the world on the 17th july 2006 at 12.07am.
i went into the labour at lunch time on the sunday and went to hospital at 5 30pm as the pain was killing me and i wanted pethodine.when i got there i was told that i was only 2cm dilated.by 9 30pm i was taking into the labour room and was 8cm,they asked if i wanted the pethodine and i screamed NO at the midwife.by 10 30pm i was ready to push and after having the gas for all of half an hour i throw it at my partner and decided to do it myself.after pushing for an hour and half i was asked if i wanted doctors help as i was very tired and bub had started to get destressed so i said yes.within 7 mins my son was born after having a suction cap put on his head to help him out.he was put on my chest for a couple of minutes until midwife took him to weigh him and i had stitches.it turned out i have a brocken tail bone that want flick back so all my babies will be by suction cap.over all it was a wonderful experience and i would do it all again my mum and partner were great and so were the doctors and midwifes.the only down fall was the second degree tear i had that had to have 10 - 12 stitches in and hurt like hell for six wks and is still tender after 10mths.:no:
